Any way I can make this skin a little less resource hungry? Or make WACUP itself run smoother?
It really taxes my computer, which is pretty high end for Winamp. Makes everything a little laggy, hangs my mouse every now and then.
But since this is the only skin that works beautiful on 4K monitors, I'm not willing to switch

Did you check how much resources it is actually using ?

I don't have that kind of problem on an UHD monitor

I think I assumed it was the skin, as I had read somewhere it might be a little heavy.

It is using less than 100 mb of ram for me, so if it is really using much resource, there's a problem somewhere (that's why I suggest you to check what it is using in the facts)

Hah I said that, but may not be the case. It works slow for me on my laptop, but hiper fluently on my win 7 desktop pc. So far you're the only one seeing it so slow (and me, but I'm convinced now that my win 10 laptop is at fault.. I know why..).
Anyway, try to disable background cover on File info view, that's a big cover (1000 x 1000 px) changing every now and then and it can be the cause of some slow downs.

Sorry for wrongfully pointing fingers, I've updated some mobo drivers and all is smooth now. Went from around 20% constant cpu to about 2%.

D'oh I thought I fixed this already but I can see now that I only did for vertical covers (I.e. DVD/BluRay style covers). Thanks for the heads up.

The skin is one of the best I ever saw... It is great work. It depends on DrO if he like to make it default.
I have only one issue with the skin - loading time. But, I suppose it can not be fixed - more options, more time to process it - I vote vor more options
