The simplest option would be to try & make use of
https://github.com/garrjo/WMC_WCL_Template which you take the image files from a classic skin & add them to it as needed to make a modernised version. There's a few quirks with this solution but for the most part it'll look & work like expected whilst gaining the ability to do custom scaling, etc (it's quicker than waiting for me to get all of the classic skinned windows working with double-size support in WACUP, heh)
