Hi Dro,

here is my second attempt at providing feedback.

Streaming: Lightning-fast connections to the servers. I’ve never seen it happen this quickly before—it’s truly impressive.

Visualizations: None of the Advanced Visualization Studio (AVS) plugins are working; the screen remains dark. Geiss and MilkDrop, however, run well.

The "Portables" plugin should definitely be kept—at the very least to support iPods and USB flash drives that are recognized as mass storage devices. That would likely cover 90%+ of all external MP3 players, flash drives, and hard drives.

Not sure why streaming would be so much faster to start as little has directly changed with in_url in the last few builds so it might be something to do with the libcurl update that changed how things are able to get going maybe, dunno. At least it's playing ok & hopefully you're using the post-release updated version of that plug-in to improve stream playability.

AVS is just a mess & there's little I'm going to do about that. From a quick test the windowed mode worked (tested under a classic skin) until the plug-in crashed (as it does by it's very nature). Fullscreen won't work & that's been broken since Vista which isn't a wacup induced issue.

The re-used portables plug-ins from 5.666 need to be dropped sooner rather than later as they don't work well (i.e. crashing) due to assumptions made about the runtime they'd be used under (which is just not worth my time trying to live patch). The intent was to implement something that'll handle ipods (potentially based on ml_ipod) along with normal file transfer / mtp but I don't have the interest at the moment to be working on such things as it's not something I actively need because I just stay at home & don't listen to devices on the go. It's however something I'm going to have to get around to doing as I'm getting tired of the ml_pmp/pmp_* related crashes seen.
