issues with wacup replay gain and mp3 metadata writing
« on: March 27, 2026, 03:49:44 PM »
issues with wacup not writing replay gain stats to a non-copywrited mp3 file. also not being able to change the metadata. and a but in the format converter when setting the minimum from 32kbit to 128kbit while maximum is set to 320kbit for variable new bitrate in mp3. i read that your still working on getting the x86 skins to work with x64... because i'd like to use the big bento skin. although im very thankful you guys have not killed off windows 7 yet. since i still have a retro pc running Win7 Ultimate. lol. is there a way you can implement some sort of mp3 write protection decrypt script for wacup or something?

Metadata writing support in the x64 build for MP3 isn't yet implemented & is why the x86 build is still the preferred one for most to use.

im using both x86 & x64. right now. i take it the x64 is being troublesome for your team to bring it closer to x86.

It's just not a priority for me to work on something that is going to be a non-trivial set of changes for _both_ build types when I'm instead focusing this year working more on what is actually going to bring me enjoyment. If the x86 build is also not allowing for MP3 metadata updating then that means the in_mp3 from the 5.666 installer likely isn't present to use (or it's failing / being blocked) as that's the only way with the normal x86 install for MP3 writing to be attempted.
