General Discussion / Re: Metadata Required for WACUP to function as intended
« on: September 06, 2021, 07:18:17 PM »
Please post a link to "ATF Help (html page)"

I am generally more interested in the analytics of the file, bandwidth, sampling rate, bit-depth, encoder, etc., but I suspect that is not what you want feedback on.

Wishlist / Feature Requests / Re: Edit metadata inside Media Library
« on: September 06, 2021, 07:07:12 PM »
Thanks for the reply -- as a long time Winamp user I am very well aware of the existing methods for editing metadata :) From a feature request perspective here I think it would be amazing to have if it is possible. Here is what I was referring to:

You can literally click on any part of the ID3 tag in the media browser and it lets you start editing it. As you can imagine, the methods you have described above are tedious and require going through a prompt and editing multiple text boxes. At the moment I am forced to use MediaMonkey for solely editing ID3 tags due to ease of use (compared to WACUP).

I have been using TagScanner to great effect.  It also allows download of album covers from various music tagging services.

Wishlist / Feature Requests / Sonos and/or Play-Fi integration
« on: September 06, 2021, 06:35:12 PM »
I see that a similar question was asked in 2020 on this forum.  I use Sonos wireless speakers that access my mp3's on my computer and a remote server.  It would be great to stream my mp3's through WinAmp.  Advantages are better control of Sonos playlists, easy sorting and adding to its queue based on the more advanced search and display capabilities in WACUP, equalizer support, etc, etc.  Possibly even surround sound?  :)

Sonos makes their API public.  Here is a link: https://developer.sonos.com/reference/control-api/  Since there is an executable for Windows, I imagine that a compatible API version could be found.

Play-Fi is similar, but may require more digging -- https://play-fi.com/apps/windows/  I want to move towards it and away from sonos, since it is a more open platform for manufacturers.
