That's OK. I understand. Should I mention this issue to the developers of StereoTool?

Yep, I had this happen again on 22278 and a few times previously in other versions.

I had this occur again on 22222 just now. I noticed there was a post release bugfix and updated wacup again. I'll see if this happens again.

If this is an issue with StereoTool, I can report to them. StereoTool is tested more often on Winamp.

I can also join the Discord too. I just don't like social anxiety.

Preview Build Discussion / Wacup Window fails to load
« on: July 20, 2025, 11:44:34 PM »
Hi,

When I updated to the latest beta, I noticed that Wacup sometimes opens as an invisible window. The taskbar shows Wacup as nothing but transparent. This doesn't include DSPs. I see the StereoTool DSP window open with Wacup.

I try to use Windows features by minimizing Wacup via the taskbar and maximizing it. This causes Wacup to finally reveal itself. The text color for some reason changes to bright green (similar to Classic Winamp). The theme never changes but I currently use the Bento theme (which may be the default). This isn't super annoying. What is annoying is that the Local Library views gets reset and completely cleared. I have to set it up again each time this happens.

I tried reproducing this on purpose. I couldn't seem to get this to happen. This doesn't seem to be due to a Wacup crash. Wacup was functioning fine when I closed it last. If you have any idea of things I could try which may help reproduce the problem, let me know as well.

I tried looking at known issues here: https://getwacup.com/preview/preview_1_99_34_22022_known_issues_x86.html I didn't see it.

Thanks so much and letting me know about x64. I can try x64. The issue is I do use the Stereo tool Winamp plugin.

I will definitely wait for the next public build (since that's only what I have access to).

I hope the beta builds go well

Preview Build Discussion / APE Tags causing crash
« on: December 29, 2024, 09:29:15 AM »
Hi,

I've really been putting this bug in the back burner because of social anxiety (lol). I've created lots of crash reports because of this.

I've used to use StationPlaylist which adds APE tags to any files it plays. Some specific wacup change on a certain release caused those files to become unplayable. Wacup instantly hangs and crashes when trying to play them.

My suspicion is due to weird configuration of both ID3 and APE tags included in the file. For example, binary data of the time the song last played. If I remove or mess with tags, the file becomes playable on wacup again.

I attached an example file.

I am using latest public build and I also tried it in safe mode. I have no way of checking if its fixed in the latest private beta build.
