Skins / Re: Big Bento started failing -script error

"Make a portable copy"
uh.. man in 25+ years I've never had the pleasure, so.... hmmmmmm

"Big bento vX vs  xY vs win 10"
I've switched through them all.. they all have that issue.

"x64.."
Yeah I'm stuck with x86 or the skins -really- are not great

"load the post release update"
yah I did that one too.

I feel like it's machine related.  Something is off and it's my own unique deal.

All the big bento modern variations do this -anything that has that script as part of the skin
There are quite a few options in the control panel, skins, modern skins -5 tabs of them!  I don't -think- I have changed anything in there.  At one point I was fiddling with font size -took me a while to track down what I was looking for.  Perhaps I hit something.  Is there a way to reset the interface?

Skins / Big Bento started failing -script error
« on: July 01, 2025, 01:54:31 AM »
Heyo.  when I load up winamp 1.99.34.22022 and the prior release, I have started getting the attached error the script in question is C:\Program Files (x86)\WACUP\Skins\Big Bento Modern\scripts\sc_aerosnap.maki

When I left click, as suggested by the error, the application seems to fire up fine.  More of a minor annoyance than anything.

All the modern Big Bento suffers this fate, all have that script with the same last edit date (4/24/24)

I'm on a windows 11 x64 running all the latest patches, happy to provide any other info that might help

Resolved Issues / Re: Thinger oddness

Seems to have cleared up in the 3/9 release.  Thanks so much for continuing to work on this project.  There is definitely no other player more capable of handling a large MP3 collection like this.

Resolved Issues / Thinger oddness

Pardon if I missed this being reported already.  I updated to 1.99.22.20202
"Thinger" likes to come back each time I open the app.  In the options, it's "display" checkbox seems to be inverted.  When it's checked, it goes away and visa versa.

Not a huge deal

edit.. actually the check kinda comes and goes... If I close it with the window x button, it goes away but still shows checked in the display features list... even though it's gone.  Anyway it's a bit random.

Wishlist / Feature Requests / [PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED] Playlist stuff
« on: November 17, 2016, 06:20:08 PM »
Hey all,
First, it's so refreshing to find pockets of hope for winamp out there.  I still love it so!

I just accidentally added a duplicate item to a massive playlist and rather than remove it, I mistakenly hit "crop playlist" and lost everything.  Fortunately I have a backup from months back but still a huge loss.
SO, my wish is for better playlist backup/recovery/management options

1. Auto playlist backup to file (I can specify how often and where it's saved)
2. Undo would be nice for any edit function in a playlist (add/remove/CROP/etc)
3. merge playlist would be great (bring a copy from home to work and only import changes) -This might be tricky for some since I'm taking it for granted that my library is coming from the same path structure in both locations (m:\music...)
4. Merge and remove duplicates might be easier -where duplicates are defined by artist/album/track metadata match perhaps?
5. Kinda out there: if I'm listening to a playlist and then listen to something else, I sure wish winamp could remember what I was listening to in the playlist when I return so it doesn't duplicate played tracks again.
6.  Way out there: when i click send to: playlist, sure would be nifty it winamp said "you sure? it's already in there"

I'll think of more... wish I could dev plugins in c#.  I know nothing of c++
