But, if you enable this option (Allow multiple instances) in WACUP you may have troubles.

Winamp Tools 10.0 Final has been released today.
If anyone is interested, please download it directly  from my website

Link: https://www.pawelporwisz.pl/winamp/winamp_download_en.php#wt

Ps: This is probably the latest version that was concentrated on Winamp.
Next version will be more focused on WACUP.

So it would be good to have an option in the settings to choose between LOCALE_SYSTEM_DEFAULT and YYYY-MM-DD (or user defined format).

Here are the newest builds. I improved a bit log window (scrollbar flickering, made log simpler), fixed few issues and added option where user can choose Report Date format (on Report options page).

Latest builds can be downloaded from the first post of this thread.

I made few another changes and most important - I minimalised flickering the log window (it still could be better).
The newest builds from 26.01.2019:
WAAbout: (v10.0.0.44): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1548507615/WAAbout.exe
WABackupRestore (v10.0.0.45): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1548507647/WABackupRestore.exe

Nice!
I suggest to change the default time stamps in the filenames to YYYY-MM-DD. This way the files will be sorted in the right order in windows explorer.
(I know I can change the sorting to creation time, but most of the time the default sorting is by filename.)

I made a change (and fixed few other issues).
Now, report files (and Backup files) are saved with system defined date time (LOCALE_SYSTEM_DEFAULT).
It should use YYYY-MM-DD format for you (however, separator is always dot (.)).

WAAbout: (v10.0.0.37): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1548100246/WAAbout.exe
WABackupRestore (v10.0.0.31): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1548100272/WABackupRestore.exe

Trying out the latest v10 executable.  I noticed when I check the option to Exclude confidential data from report it puts my Username and PC Name in the Basic System Information section.  I think it should blank these out as well when checking this option.

Yeah, I think it makes sense.
It is fixed now. HTML and TXT based report hides that info (it is available in app and app log).
Also, I changed ***** to %APPDATA% - I think this gives more info and not tell what is the user path (if excluded).

Newest build:
WAAbout (v10.0.0.23): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1548064650/WAAbout.exe
WABackupRestore (v10.0.0.20): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1548064764/WABackupRestore.exe

A few questions/observations for you. Are the latest versions of each tool linked in the first post? Can you add a minor version like 10.0.XXXX, to future releases of All About Winamp? I have two versions which both report 10.0 (Test Build). One is 3MB, the other 8MB (newer one?)
Yes. Those were the newest one. The size depends (the old one was compressed by UPX).
I fixed your issues and the newest builds are below: version 10.0.0.10.

In All About Winamp I was able to specify a custom Report Directory. The custom directory reverts back to the default, C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Winamp Tools\WAAbout\REPORT, each time the app is run. It would be nice to remember the custom location.
Winamp Backup & Restore, same issue with the build number.
Fixed!

When I Browse to a custom backup files directory, the 'Backup files directory' field remains empty causing the error "Warning! Specified backup directory not exists!..."
Manually typing a path or pasting one in does not appear to be allowed in the 'Backup files directory' field. This behavior also exists in All About Winamp, but selecting a custom directory does work in that app.
Fixed!

For English translation that error text should probably read. ""Warning! Specified backup directory does not exist!..."
Fixed! I am not native english so I am sure there are more grammar issues (if anyone has some time I can send english language file and you can check it).

Thanks for your report.

Here are the newest builds:
All About Winamp (WAAbout): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1547025383/WAAbout.exe (version 10.0.0.10, 3.21 MiB)
Winamp Backup & Restore (WABackupRestore): http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1547025427/WABackupRestore.exe (version 10.0.0.10, 3.17 MiB)

First post of this thread has been updated.
Now, you can test Winamp Backup & Restore (WABackupRestore) application. It allows you to create backup of all Winamp files and settings and if it is neccessary restore it.

Applications are in beta stage.
Enjoy!

I did NOT mean that the option wasn't there.

Right! My bad. Sorry.
Indeed, some options may change its default state (some options was even removed).
I am going to add to the program option to choose css styles (for now there is only one available). It is why I proposed you to upload your css (as you for example make header title centered).

Anyway, I am happy that you found it useful.

Mark,
Thanks for testing.
If you have any suggestion or you would like to change something please let me know...
I see you always modify default CSS. Maybe you can upload it here and I can add it to program (for now there is only one, default "Style.css" (in future build user will have possibility to choose one of the built-in css styles from the list (on Report Options Page)).

You wrote:
Noticed it didn't carry over all the settings from previous versions, like re-checking to exclude private info.

It is not true. You missed this options. It is now in Report Options page (Report Creation Wizard). See attachment.
You can do it also using command line, for example: WAAbout.exe /WADIR="C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp" /EXCLUDE /LANG="1033"

The newest build: http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1540501299/WAABout.exe

General Discussion / WINAMP TOOLS 10.0 FINAL
« on: October 23, 2018, 06:23:09 PM »
I would like to ask you to help with tests. Would be nice if you try it and write your opinion.
What would you add in such applications, what would you change. Is it working fine for you?
Thanks for any opinion. Version 10 of Winamp Tools applications brings many changes and I hope it made it super easy to use and very simple.

WINAMP TOOLS 10.0 FINAL (27.08.2019)
Link: https://www.pawelporwisz.pl/winamp/winamp_download_en.php#wt

Let me tell you something about Winamp Tools Project (https://www.pawelporwisz.pl/winamp/winamp_tools_en.php). Winamp Tools is a set of tools dedicated to Winamp. I started to write this very long time ago (first, it was just tool that helped me to organize translation for Winamp).
Over time, the program and all related files became more and more advanced. After many years of changes, improvements, writing new ideas, removing this ideas I created apps you can see now.
Today, all my simple helper applications, scripts or bath files bacame a Winamp Tools package. Winamp Tools consists of the following apps:

- All About Winamp (WAAbout): This application allows you to get and display all important information about Winamp,
- Winamp Backup & Restore (WABackupRestore): This application allows you to create backup of all Winamp files and settings and if it is neccessary restore it,
- Winamp Translation (WATranslator): This application allows you to simplify and organize Winamp interface translation. It is possibly to generate Winamp Language Pack (it is a wrapper for lng_generator, external application written by DrO).

At the begining, all this apps was written to complete so called Winamp PL project (Polish Language Pack, Polish Winamp help system and everything related with Winamp for Polish user). Few years ago, I thought it can be used by all Winamp users (this is why it support english language now).

Notes:
I have to notice that some time ago I was helping Koopa with his similar Winamp related tools (written in NSIS): Winamp Info Tool or Winamp Backup Tool (and other things). I was responsible for some graphics, some ideas and a lot of code... but, we decided both to not continue our cooperation. Later, I wrote my own backup tool based on his idea (and added it to my other applications).
The main reason to write my own application was a different look at the matter, limited script possibilities, etc...It seems, however, that for some the existence of two similar applications is too much... If you want to try it out, here is a link to his tools: http://koopa.meggamusic.co.uk/

Let me describe shortly each tool:

---------------------------------------------
ALL ABOUT WINAMP (WAAbout)
---------------------------------------------

All About Winamp (WAAbout) is a simple and intuitive tool that allows you to gather and display information about Winamp. It can create report using simple wizard, you can manage your existing reports and finally you can just display the most important Winamp informations. The most important feature is possibility to create report (in text format - clear and simple text, or in HTML format - formatted, nice-looking document with images) with all important information about Winamp and its components.

It is written in Delphi, modern programming environment with convenient and fast compiler (now also 64bit). This allows to write whatever you want (the only problem is relatively big exe files produced by Delphi... but nowadays it seems not be a big deal (especially with UPX)).

I know that for many this program may be useless or completely unnecessary, but I hope that someone will find it useful (I love it! :P).

All About Winamp (WAAbout) application supports command-line options and exit error codes. Command-line options can help you to automate some actions or replace saved settings without changing it. Exit error codes can help you to diagnose the problem if something goes wrong (if /S command is passed and there is no visible information). Commands can be entered in upper or lower case. You should always use quotation marks for commands data. Passed paths need to be a fully qualified paths to work correctly.

To get to know all command-line options use in console: WAAbout.exe /?

---------------------------------------------
WINAMP BACKUP & RESTORE (WABackupRestore)
---------------------------------------------

Winamp Backup & Restore (WABackupRestore) application allows you to create a backup of all Winamp settings and files and if it is neccessary restore it. It is simple and intuitive application. It is designed to backup specific (or all) Winamp settings and files. Created backup file can be restored at any time. It is an invaluable tool for users who like to experiment with the settings or for those who simply want to backup Winamp files.

Winamp Backup & Restore application has an intuitive and simple interface, small size, is portable, compatible with Windows 7+. Thanks to preferences, allows you to customize it. It allows to generate detailed TXT/HTML reports for chosen actions and support several languages.

Winamp Backup & Restore runs in two modes - BACKUP and RESTORE.
BACKUP MODE
Backup mode allows to make a backup of all Winamp files and settings (user need to choose Winamp Installation Directory or directroy where Portable Winamp is located, define output backup directory, its filename, etc (you may use default), define report options and thats all.
Notes: You can make Full Backup or Normal Backup (Full is recommended).

RESTORE MODE
Restore Mode allows you to restore files from previously created Backup File into default Winamp Installation Directory (or defined by user).
To restore the files you need to choose Winamp Backup File (with wbr extension), choose output (destination) directory, define some report options and thats all!

Winamp Backup & Restore (WABackupRestore) application supports command-line options and exit error codes. Command-line options can help you to automate some actions. Exit error codes can help you to diagnose the problem if something goes wrong (if /S parameter is passed and there is no visible information).

Commands can be entered in upper or lower case. You should always use quotation marks for commands data. Passed paths need to be a fully qualified paths to work correctly. There are two basic actions: Backup (/BACKUP) and Restore (/RESTORE). Each action has specific commands that must be passed with it. There are also General and Report command-line options (optional, used both in Backup and Restore actions).

To get to know all command-line options use in console: WABackupRestore.exe /?

---

Notes: By default all backup files and generated reports are stored in the user directory. Settings are stored in:
All About Winamp (WAAbout):
C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Winamp Tools\WAAbout\WAAbout.ini
Winamp Backup & Restore (WABackupRestore):
C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Winamp Tools\WABackupRestore\WABackupRestore.ini

You can force using portable mode by changing config option in configuration file:

[SYSTEM]
; App Configuration Files Mode [0=Portable | 1=User Directory]
UserMode=1 ; change to UserMode=0 to use application as portable
; App Default Language [1033 | 1045]
DefaultLang=1033

I hope this info is clear and maybe you will even find useful to use my Winamp Tools :)

Skins / Re: Big Bento Modern - final release v1.02
« on: September 22, 2018, 03:53:42 PM »
Big Bento Modern / Big Bento Modern Windows 10 Edition (1.02)
Winamp opens external browser and built-in browser at the same time.

When I use Help Menu and for example choose option: "Winamp Help F1" Winamp opens
external browser with the following address: https://getwacup.com/community/ -> It is OK (as Skin Settings-> Web Content is set to Open links in default browser).
But, in the same time Web Reader view in skin is opened and I see about:blank in address (it displays album content).

If I use "Send FeedBack" option, Winamp opens external browser and activate Web Browser view with the same content...
It is a bug. I should open external browser or built-in browser (not both!).

I do think that the default WACUP skin should be the Classic Skin (Winamp 2.x base skin with WACUP tweaks).
Winamp Classic skin is the best option. In my opinion if you ask user about Winamp he think Winamp with Classic Skin (for sure old users).
The skin is very simple, uses low system resources and just do everything user want to do - play music.
Yes, the skin is not designed for high resolution monitors and big screens. But, if you set double size it is OK (I use rather big resolution and screen: 2560x1440, 27").

Now, WACUP installer should give possibility to choose the skin user want to use as default (like it is done now).
Such installer dialog should list all installed skins and by default Classic skin (clean install) or currently used skin (update) should be selected.
It is good idea to show few skins (Classic Skin, Bento/Big Bento, Winamp Modern, and excellent Big Bento Modern) with image and short description - user can decide what he want.
