Title: Issues with modern skin transparency
Post by: petormeat on April 23, 2026, 10:04:33 AM
hello!  :)  I'm new here so my apologies if this isn't the right place to ask for help regarding this issue.
I downloaded a couple of modern skins recently, and specifically the playlist editor being enabled seems to break alpha blending, would like to know if this is a skin specific issue (like outdated old code, these two skins also both happen to have a subtle shadow on their windows) or something else entirely, if it helps I'm also on the latest version of WACUP  :D
I attached some examples of this happening down below
If it helps here are the skins I used:
WMP aero (https://winampheritage.com/skin/wmp-aero/220067)
Winampple 1.4 (https://www.deviantart.com/beamcompass/art/Winampple-1-4-186947707)

The problem is something with my attempt to get the modern skin engine plug-in from 5.666 running outside of winamp which isn't 100% complete causing these sorts of problems. The 'wmp aero' skin is also weird with what it seems to be doing with the window layering but until I can properly try to debug this it's going to have to be deemed as my code that's not correct vs what gen_ff wants.
