Title: Bug: when WACUP plays music, monitor can't go to sleep
Post by: Phuntso on October 03, 2025, 11:51:54 AM
Another odd thing that came with a recent build: my monitor can't go to sleep when music (online radio) is playing in WACUP. Used to allow sleep without issues before.

Nope, it's not allowed that to happen by default for many many years (maybe you did a full reinstall & removed the prior config settings recently?) & you'll need to go to preferences -> playback -> playback tab -> un-check the system keep alive option. As I don't know if it's a laptop or a desktop that wacup is being run on nor how the speakers / output may or may not be configured (e.g. a monitor with monitors would kill playback when it turns off) & so I had to make a choice on having the default be to keep playback going.

Oh it was actually a feature that I never paid attention to that somehow recently made itself known.

Thanks! Now I know to keep that off.
