was looking through some old cd/dvd's and found a copy of winamp 3.0
so i installed it and found it had a different default winamp skin
the skin is not my work and is copyright to winamp
i also attached to the skin and a picture of what it looks like if anyone would like a copy.
just thought it would be nice to share it to the community :)

VERY COOL!
Thank you for finding that small piece of Winamp history.
Did you install Version 3? How does it hold up? What was the thinger supposed to be used for?

i did install winamp 3.0 and i think the thinger was used to give quick access to library and other features such as AVS, equalizer etc..
if you do a quick google search you should be able to find winamp 3.0 install

The Winamp 3 Default Skin is also available for Winamp 5.x. It looks (http://web.archive.org/web/20131124012713/http://www.winamp.com/skin/winamp3-default-skin/140397) much the same as the original. The most noticeable exception is that the scrollbar in the Playlist Editor looks like the scrollbar of the Classic Skin.
The latest version is available from Plague (http://forums.winamp.com/member.php?u=34459)'s Google Drive (https://goo.gl/QKaZ6U).

Funnily enough I have been using the v3 skin with XMPlayer for a while, so I don't confuse them on the desktop.
I did try with the v5 skin for a while but I just got too confused.
