Modern Skin Fans
This and the next post contain screenshots of the current default layouts for 6 of my favorite modern skins. Other windows are available in each skin for additional features (e.g. media library, queue manager, jump to file, etc.) as needed. The animated features in these skins must be seen to properly appreciate what these skins can do. There are 2 screenshots of the Komodo skin to showcase 2 of it's various views. I have added simple customizations (mostly to the graphics) to all but the Media Tower skin.
I'm drawn to skins with animated speakers. I added those from JVC Tape to the skins that didn't have their own.

Here are the other 3.

I'm heavily biased as I'm working on these directly, however...

It has never looked so great before, even if its just little changes nor many may see, I'm happy it's getting the improvements it really needed in those years.
The Async A-Player:

Something I'm proud of too as it's the first time where I've truly started from scratch and went on with an original design (with the exception that it references something), still unfinished but I hope to work on it again soon.

Immensely proud of what I achieved with this, building a functional framework that (mostly) works with Classic Skin images (almost) seamlessly and catches almost all the quirks and other features of Classic Skins in Winamp 2.x... no one's done it before.

Hi,
Attached is another screenshot of the ZDL Gold Stack skin. Some of it's component windows can be switched to compact mode (as shown with the equalizer). The bars in the spectrum analyzer window can change colors and modes.

I quite often switch to my own Study Skin (https://getwacup.com/community/index.php?topic=1272.msg7539):

But I find Vic's BBM more useful.

Yeah, I don't use it much, but I like it too. Waiting until I can upgrade to a hi-res monitor so that I can truly appreciate it.

How did you use JVC Tape on a low resolution monitor?

I use the sizing command to scale the 3 main components back. I have a 1920 x 1080 monitor, 79% works well for me. :)

Classic Modern by Victhor is what I use.

Hi All,
I have attached below a short looping gif video of what has become my favorite modern skin for use with WACUP. Just click on it to start/stop it. By looking at the play time remaining and elapsed indicators in the top main window or the tape counter in the second window, you can tell when the loop starts over. Currently, the skin is a self-modified version of JVC Tape v1.2a. It features 3 main windows which mimic old JVC stereo audio equipment and automated 3 driver stereo speakers.
Please excuse the roughness (unrelated elements) of the video and the need to scroll right and left. I'm still learning how to use the tool I used to create it.
The light on the switch (in the second window) used to open/close the albumart window should be on. I have not learned how to have the skin code do it automatically when the window is open. For now I need to do it manually and I forgot to do it when making this video.
WACUP doesn't display a true stereo response. Normally the left and right channel frequencies display exactly the same thing. Look closely at the bottom window, by making a small change in the timing for each channel display I managed to mimic a stereo response in these channels. The actual WACUP 10 band equalizer controls are provided in a pop out drawer accessed from the right side of this window.
