Hi Victhor,

Would it be possible to use scrolling in all the places (except the playlist editor) where the %title%, %artist%, and %album% tag strings are too long to fit within the available space? I have some songs with long titles or album names and some with multiple artists performing in the song.

This would be better than using ellipses (...), imo.

Well, there already is an option to include/exclude sub-folders. Then you can just add the specific folders you want. A little more work, but it gets the job done. AFAIK, there is no limit to the number of folders that can be added to the watch folders list.

That way of controlling what is displayed on the 5th line of the file info panel does not work for me. I have to wait until the 5th line cycles to the data I want displayed and then disable cycling.

Weird, it should at least do ONE cycle and then stop. Is not the expected behaviour but I can do it currently. I expect to fix it completely for the next build.

My solution doesn't work either. After a while the data changes back to what was shown when just disabling cycling and the desired data doesn't persist when changing skins. The top 3 items are fixed. If more than 2 additional items are selected then eventually only the top 2 additional items selected are shown when disabling cycling. Hopefully your fix for the next version will provide for better control over which 5 items are displayed in a non-cycling info panel.

I don't really have a problem with the current implementation. I just want to see 3 additional items, so I don't mind the 5th line cycling between 2 of them.

You can disable Cycle file info and click the last line until it display the year. It'll stay there. You can even make more space by hiding Rating stars!

Wishlist / Feature Requests / Re: More Playlist Sorting options

Hi evil_pro,

If all your songs contain the correct info in their tags (metadata) that you want to sort by, then there is already a way to sort a playlist editor listing by the desired tag.

The info displayed for each item in the playlist editor is collectively referred to as it's title. You can use the ATF (Advanced Title Formatting) option on the "Titles" tab in Preferences, to make a custom title string that places the tag you want to sort by 1st in a title string (e.g. %album% %track% %artist% - %title%). You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P to open or close the Preferences window.

You are given the option of re-displaying the items listed in the playlist editor after making a custom title string and closing Preferences (or selecting another Preferences option). You can change the ATF string anytime you want, but I would stop playback to ensure Winamp/WACUP doesn't get confused.

Then you can use the sort command in the context menu for the Misc button (at the bottom of the playlist editor), to sort the listing by the revised title info. Right-click on the right-most button in the group of 4, point to "Sort", and click on the "Sort list by title" command. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+1, when the playlist editor is the active window/panel.

The BrowserPro and NowPllaying widgets are the only ones included in the official installer provided by cPro's developer. WACUP only provides what the official cPro installer does. Yes, there are other widgets that are not included. It's like plug-ins with Winamp/WACUP. There are a great deal more plug-ins available than what are in the official installers.

My point is that developers may provide some support for what is in their official installers, but can not be expected to provide support for what is not.

I suggest using the newer calculation method as the default.

Will the ReplayGain Preamp still be available when using the newer method?

If there is something there, is a Winamp bug of some sort, I just used the predefined params to display times ("time", "timeelapsed" and "songlenght"). Is true that the sum doesn't match up, wonder why no one noticed it before...

Well you know me. I'm one of the few people who actually look for obscure things like this. Don't worry about it (after-all it's only 1 second). The Winamp devs probably didn't know about this bug probably because no one has chosen to display the timing info the way you have.

PS: I've read about the BPM tag you mention on the PeterK's skin thread and thought it might be worthy to include it as an option for the File info view. I hope it's not too hard.. v_v

I hope you'll be able to add it. It could be another little thing to help this skin stand out from the rest. ;)

Hi victhor,

This skin has several unique features (I keep stumbling over) and is looking better and better!

I have a couple of questions concerning the remaining and elapsed time display on the top left side. I like that arrangement of time info and have never seen it before. I've noticed that the sum of the remaining and elapsed time is 1 second less than the total track time. Is this a bug or something that's unavoidable? What do you think about showing the time of day instead of "-00:00" (or "00:00") when the player is in stop mode?

I hate to say me too, but me too on Window 10 Home 64bit!  :)

I was kinda expecting that there are good reasons why this wasn't being done already.

Anyway, I don't change skins often and usually view the ML maximized. I've also gotten pretty fast at making re-adjustments within the ML window when needed. :)

I like changing the UI skin from time to time to get a different look. A long standing frustration of mine is having to re-adjust how the media library's panes and columns are displayed when changing between skins I had previously setup (or when changing between the usual and maximized window sizes in the same skin). It is rare that the same, less than maximized, size is appropriate for all the skins in my collection. While some positioning aspects are saved on a per skin basis in the "studio.xnf" file (for the last overall size used), other positioning aspects are saved in the "gen_ml.ini" file on a global basis for all skins.

The need to re-adjust column widths (and other things) to best fit the overall space available in the ML window to eliminate or reduce the need for side-to-side scrolling (while still being able to see all, or a useful amount, of the info displayed) may be a reason why some users don't use the media library. Although, bigger reasons are probably a general reluctance to change any of the app's defaults and the need to ensure each media file contains the minimum, accurate, metadata tags needed to make the ML useful.

At a minimum, saving all possible positioning aspects on a per skin basis (for the maximized and the usual overall window sizes) would be greatly appreciated, imo. Furthermore, saving the skin-based ML content categories used (e.g. the specific sub-panes and columns used) on a per skin basis (for the maximized and the usual overall window sizes) would also be helpful. I understand that some of the ML content categories are selected in general preferences and are not dependent on the skin being used.
