General Discussion / Re: Updating openmpt input files into WACUP?

Open the WACUP Preferences and scroll down to the Advanced section (bottom on the left) and select the Diagnostics group. Then select the File Associations tab in the Diagnostics group. This tab should list most of the file types associated with the active (checked) input plug-ins. Some input plug-ins do not directly report the file types they handle. However the ones you're interested in should be listed.

It's as safe as installing any plug-in but with how the input plug-ins are checked for what to use to play things then it's unlikely it'd actually be used over the WACUP provided plug-in without disabling that one first.

Wait. How do I know what plugin is used to play MOD, XM, IT, S3M, 669, etc.? I see the default OpenMPT Module Decoder v0.5.5.4 is checked. FYI. This is an over month old WACUP installation on my eight weeks old new 64-bit W10 Pro PC. So, it should be mostly defaults.

Is it safe to use the updated https://lib.openmpt.org/files/libopenmpt/bin/libopenmpt-0.5.10+release.bin.win.zip, from https://lib.openmpt.org/libopenmpt/, in WACUP? Or do I need to wait for the official WACUP release?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

I couldn't determine what it was that has changed with stereotool 9.70 compared to 9.63 causing it to not like the way that WACUP was working when it was first reported about a month ago. Manually killing the wacup.exe loader process but leaving the winamp.original process (need to look at the details view in task manager or an equivalent in a 3rd party process tool) will then allow loading to complete.

However there's been changes made & have been confirmed as working with the 81xx beta builds that allow either version of the plug-in to work :)

As stated, WACUP won't launch after Thimeo Stereo Tool v9.70 is installed.
The only way to fix this issue and get WACUP to work again is to manually delete the plug-in DLL in the plug-in folder.
I'm using the latest WACUP Preview Build v1.0.21.7236 (March 11, 2021) on a Windows 8.1 machine.
This issue is specific to the latest version of Thimeo Stereo Tool, that is version 9.70.
Earlier versions of the plugin, at least until version 9.63, work without issues.
I have for the time being reverted back to version 9.63 of the plug-in.

I will try to implement these functions. But now I'm working on a new skin. :)

Thank you. Good luck on your new project.

I have just downloaded it. It looks good but it is a bit small on my laptop with a 1920x1080 screen resolution on a 13.3 inch display. At 150%, the size is okay but the graphics is blurred.
I created this skin in order to watch music videos. I had to sacrifice the size of the main window to make the video window larger.
Thank you Denis for adding the notification panel. It works very well.

I would like you to consider adding 2 more capabilities.

1. An x-offset adjustment and y-offset adjustment to allow for adjusting the default positions of the panel.

2. 3 variable time adjustments for the seconds taken to fade in, hold, and fade out the panel.

I see, I've cycled between all of them, nice to know you're still working on it though 💪
