Main Menu > Play > FolderOK - I now realize this post should be in the 'General' forum. Also, I have been looking extensively in Main Menu > Options > Preferences and still no joy. Perhaps there is no utility/settings for this. If so, I request the admin to move this topic to the 'Wishlist/Feature Requests' forum.
I select a folder, clik OK - folder loads and 1st track begins to play. Forget where I set it so it does not begin to play (until I decide to clik the player's 'play' button). Desire same with play a file. -thx

The alternative is don't use normal shuffle & instead use the 'playlist file remover' plug-in which can cycle through a playlist until all have been played & then reloads the original playlist along with allowing things to be shuffled / randomised to avoid it just looping in the same manner. ...I do not use 'playlists', I just add folders or multiple files. Selecting shuffle, then enable file remover, will this feature work on this case?

Otherwise make a portable install using the installer & that'll give you the equivalent & you can run as many portable installs as you want to.... correct?
You can run multiple beta instances like you can do with the preview build (would be a bit silly to restrict that in betas but not preview buildsOK - well, when I tried to invoke a new instance nothing happened. I then reasoned that perhaps there is a box or something in the options dialogue that needs to be checked. In Main Menu > Options > Preferences > General > I saw a unchecked box labeled "Allow multiple instances (this can cause data corruption)", checked it and closed the dialogue. The attached image of a popup appeared. I was in no mood for taking this 'leap' and cliked "No".).
