It should be able to as mine can (Well, I am on the latest beta which looks to be a newer version than the preview version). 

Anyway, It looks like the input plugins handle the meta tags.  The Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder (in_mp3.dll) handles reading/writing of tags for MP3 files and such. When I view a file's info I see a ID3v1 and ID3v2 tabs.

So, you might make sure that plugin is enabled and if you configure it all the options are checked.

That's all I can think of for now.

I only opened the file info dialog to provide as much info as possible, but it's the same with or without it, wacup.exe is still using the file or folder.

I appreciate you trying to help, I understand that this is no top issue so I will try to get used to it. Thank you for your time and thanks for your amazing work on wacup, you really dragged winamp into the 21st century!

Hi everyone,

I recently updated to the latest WACUP version (i used an old one from last summer),  and I noticed that the ability to edit ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags is no longer available. This feature is a must have for me, and I used it regularly to manage my MP3 files directly within the player.

After the update, I couldn’t find any way to edit tags as I used to. I ended up rolling back to the previous preview version (v1.99.15.19320), where everything works as expected.

Is there any way to bring back tag editing in the current version (perhaps via a plugin or hidden setting)? Or is this feature planned to be reintroduced in future releases?

If you're doing it whilst the file info dialog is still open then that is usually going to have the file in an open state because it might be trying to make edits. Tbqh I've still to actually look into this myself so I don't know why it'd be keeping a handle on the file vs how I've tried to code things.

There isn't an equivalent to the ml_impex plug-in & it's xml file handling in wacup nor have I gotten around to coding a csv reader to match.

Hey there, I've started using WACUP and it's amazing.

I'm a bit confused about the library import/export. I can export my local library to a .csv file but I can't find and option to import that same .csv.

On Winamp I could export to an xml, make edits, then reimport that xml. Is there a way to do this on WACUP?

Hi Glamrlama,

Where is the default location of the speed control UI when behind other windows? Top, bottom, left, right, middle, or other screen location? When visible are you able to move it to where it is least likely to be completely covered by another window? If so, does it keep the new location between sessions?

Where can I download Procrustes v1.20a from? All the links I'm able to find are no longer working.

Thanks for calling out this PlugIn. I have a large amount of spoken word training material in digital format.  Procrustes v1.20a works well to control playback speed.  Both faster and slower.  Very helpful PlugIn. I can shave a few minutes off each recording and still get all the content I need.   Sometimes the speed control UI, a small slider, is hidden behind other windows but it is there.  Just click on it to bring it forward.
