Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #18916 (April 18th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #18916 (April 18th 2024) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Thank you for taking note. Very appreciated! (continues drooling over BBC content...  ;D )

Hello,

as many of you may know, the BBC withdrew their internet broadcasts from the Shoutcast protocol. Instead they now are using the HLS and DASH protocols. I hate that, since they were some of the best broadcasts and I loved to listen to them (esp. BBC Radio 6 Music), though I am not from the UK.

My wish is simple: Could WACUP support HLS and DASH?

Thank you.

General Discussion / Re: It is possible to do queries to WACUP database?

The plan is also to make it possible to send a custom query to the db via the command-line

It would be even cooler, if this could be done via ActiveX scripting, meaning, that WACUP could be used as a COM for ActiveScripting.

Hello,

I also would like to chime in and express my gratitude! :-) Winamp 5 is still the best for Audio! I never managed to recreate the media library layout and feature set with foobar2000.

General Discussion / What does "User Stations" do in "Internet Radio"
« on: October 09, 2021, 09:14:26 PM »
Hi,

what is the "User Stations" for in "Internet Radio"? I had hoped, that I could place entries of my favorite stations there (instead of keeping them in Playlists, as I do now). But I found no way, so I assume it must be a work in progress?

If so, may I suggest, to be able to have folders within "User Stations", so one could categorize the added stations? For example, I have a Playlist, that has all the BBC stations, another one has all the SomaFM, etc. It would be nice, if I could keep this organization, but have these lists appear under "User Stations/BBC", "User Stations/SomaFM", etc. (along with an "Export to Playlist" feature). Thanks!

Greetings, Andreas
