Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Try right-clicking on the albumart image. It should offer an "Open Folder" command that will open the folder the song is in and highlight it.

Copying the settings folder in the new Windows installation will make it so that the items of the individual playlists will also show up? (assuming the filepaths are the same)

Nope. It doesn't do that & only generates a list / details of the library playlists depending on the mode selected. Exporting the actual playlists is something I've still to implement.

Either try to use preferences -> general -> backup | restore (though it might not catch a number of WACUP specific changes nowadays)

or (the more likely safer option)

if you're going to be using the same folder locations post OS re-install then you can just archive the whole WACUP settings folder (typically %appdata%\wacup but preferences -> advanced -> diagnostics -> settings locations will show what your path is) & copy that back into the same location once you've done the initial WACUP reinstall.

General Discussion / Exporting my playlists

I'm reinstalling Windows and I'd like to export my playlists from WACUP so I can import them when I install WACUP in the new Windows installation. Maybe this is a stupid question, but I want to be sure - If I got library -> export -> playlist lists, that will export not only the list of individual playlists, but all the items in each individual list with their corresponding filepaths, right?

ie below Rating, would be a File Path: c:\music\song.mp3

be even better if clicking on it would open the explorer file window to that folder location and highlight select the file..

Anyone familuar with Cpro addon there is a 'File Info' panel that shows some useful info but could be better

I'm wanting to see File Path...

does anyone know how easy the changes would be to make in the cpro files.. I'm not familar with, can such a change be done easily without any weird compiling, ie just some xml/script files to edit or is it more of a hassle to get that adjusted.

So you're using either Winamp Modern or one of the Bento skins...

This reminds me that there is no way to please everyone.  :)
That's why you make it a configuration option.  You check a box -- Do you want blinking time? -- Yes / No.
People who want it, check Yes,  people who don't, check No.
Everybody is happy.

I'm using the "Good Ol' Winamp"  "colour" skin.  Don't know if that makes a difference.

i dont know if there is anywhere where to upload the modern skins for winamp

You can still upload them to DeviantArt but you need to add tags like "winamp", "modern" or "winampmodern" for visitors to find your skins.

Again thanks everyone for the help.

You're welcome. :)

Thanks everyone for the help, fixes and explanations, looks like everything is working now, as i dont know if there is anywhere where to upload the modern skins for winamp i will update my first post with the final versions + the untouched originals.

On a side note i decided to look for curiosity one of the skins (the MSDZero one) and ended up encountering the old facebook with a pair of skins including a newer version of it with wasabi 1.3, this one dosent have any of the problems of my version and has a custom notifier, tho i still prefer the version i have so its the one i will continue using but i find it facinating as the webside is obiously dead but the facebook and the links to some of the skins are still working, the facebook is "AZN Team".

Again thanks everyone for the help.
