Not showing it where exactly? I need specific steps on how to replicate the problem you're reporting as so far the string is being used in a test main playlist for me on loading until I attempt to play it (then it'll use what's obtained or generated by the atf strings being used) or depending on the reading & atf configuration will be updated if that's what's being triggered by other loading actions (which is expected).

Nope, it's not allowed that to happen by default for many many years (maybe you did a full reinstall & removed the prior config settings recently?) & you'll need to go to preferences -> playback -> playback tab -> un-check the system keep alive option. As I don't know if it's a laptop or a desktop that wacup is being run on nor how the speakers / output may or may not be configured (e.g. a monitor with monitors would kill playback when it turns off) & so I had to make a choice on having the default be to keep playback going.

Another odd thing that came with a recent build: my monitor can't go to sleep when music (online radio) is playing in WACUP. Used to allow sleep without issues before.

Used to work before. Since some recent update WACUP doesn't display the title from the m3u file if the time is set to -1. If greater than 0 then it does show.

The title from following used to display fine previously:

Using a global hotkey is the problem because it's not triggering everything that Alt+L does when wacup is active. That'll need a new build for the global hotkey handling to be able to cleanly access what the Alt+L handler does to resolve it - it might however require resetting things into the correct state once after there's a newer build depending on what state things were prior to updating & then should just work fine from there (am not going to screw around trying to correct config values for a seemingly not common failure).

I've tried with both portable & normal install types be they clean or existing installs with the 22656 installer & the handling is working as expected nor do I see anything obvious that'd explain why the install.ini file might not being updated or just the un-checking of the installer sections not working. Unless this is some weird OS / other software specific interaction that I'm missing I can't replicate this.

Forgive me if this is discussed somewhere already, but when I deselect options in the installer (even in a clean/fresh install) those options are still getting installed.

Things like Medial Library, Album Art, Thinger, Waveform, etc.
The options in the installer have no impact on whether those get installed or not.

Is this on a to-do list somewhere?

Been testing it myself on Linux with Wine 10.15, it connects to the stream successfully every time.

It's using what I'd expect for playback of an AAC or MP3 based stream. The example not working has me stumped as I just can't replicate it not working & what is shown for the working stream is what should be seen with that url as well. Maybe others can comment if things are or aren't working for them otherwise I don't have anything to suggest to resolve it for you at this time until some means to replicate it arises.
