Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #21136 (March 9th 2025) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #21254 (March 29th 2025) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Hello,
Maybe by making a Backup of Wacup with the tool of Winamp, it is integrated in the Options\Preferences\General\Backup-Restore of Wacup.

General Discussion / Album Art

Hello everyone,
And especially to our host :)

I cannot understand why:
Today, I come for a little trouble. When I display the library "Local Library" all my covers are no longer displayed, although they were displayed for a while, and are recognized if you click on them to play the corresponding albums or to open the view "file info".
As follows:

Is there a way to fix this? A setting that I would not have made, or to repair in a future version of Wacup?
I also admit that it may come from my PC configuration, but I would be surprised. In case, I put it back below.
For memo, my config:
Windows10pro
CM: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
CM memory: DDR4 PNY 2x8Go
Sound cards:
   NVIDIA High Definition Audio
   Realtek high definition audio
   USB audio device
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
   Logitech G432 Gaming Headset
Playback devices
Realtek Digital Output (Realtek Audio)   (default)
   Speakers (Realtek Audio)
   Speakers (Logitech G432 Gaming Headset)
Recording device
   Microphone (Logitech G432 Gaming Headset)

PS: I forgot to say, I currently have a pretty huge music db (855Go 200 days of listening)

Thank you in advance who can help

Windows10pro
CM: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS
Processeur: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Graphiques: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
Mémoire CM: DDR4 PNY 2x8Go
Cartes son:
   NVIDIA High Definition Audio
   Realtek High Definition Audio
   Périphérique audio USB
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
   Logitech G432 Gaming Headset
Périphériques de play-back
Realtek Digital Output (Realtek Audio)   (par défaut)
   Haut-parleurs (Realtek Audio)
   Haut-parleurs (Logitech G432 Gaming Headset)
Périphérique d'enregistrement
   Microphone (Logitech G432 Gaming Headset)

PS: J'oubliais de dire, j'ai actuellement une db de musique assez énorme (855Go 200 jours d'écoute)

Merci d'avance à qui pourra aider.

General Discussion / Re: Procrustes question

If you search this site for procrust you will find  a procrust DSP thread started by member Koolio.  That first post has a link to procrustes 1.20a.  If you exit WACUP full screen the UI slider should will be on the main screen. You can then move to where you need it.

Here it is attached

Preview Build Discussion / Re: WACUP is almost perfect, 2 minor issues

Maybe you could try using either the global hotkey (configured via that preferences page) or using the notification area icon (if enabled) that can be setup to remove the current main playlist item to see I that'll work without going into explorer to try todo it. As that should also force clear any internal handles that I know about.

Preview Build Discussion / Re: Missing ID3v1/ID3v2 tag editing in latest WACUP version
« Last post by dro on April 19, 2025, 11:17:17 PM »
The x86 installer should've installed the re-used in_mp3 as needed unless that went wrong & the 5.666 installer couldn't be obtained so copying dlls shouldn't have been needed. The x64 build doesn't have tagging support for mp3's nor does it have a proper plug-in to handle those files which is why it's different to the x86 build for now.

Ah, yeah, x64 build is a bit different.  I am using the x86 build mainly.

I also have the x64 build installed into a separate folder and it is missing the ID3 tabs when viewing the info for those types of files.

Anyway, glad you got it sorted.

It seems you are right. I installed the latest x64 build, but in this case i don't have the in_mp3.dll in my install folder.

I messed up things a little after, so i'm not sure which one was the exact fix, but i copied the dll from a separate install and installed the latest x86 build. The id3 tabs are came back now, and i can use them again.

Thx for the suggestion!

General Discussion / save rating to file metadata
« Last post by zbeel on April 19, 2025, 07:46:14 PM »
You made an amazing work with WACUP!

I suggest an option to save ratings into file metadata. I need this.
In Winamp was an option for this in libary plugin.

Is it possible to do it the same way?
10
It should be able to as mine can (Well, I am on the latest beta which looks to be a newer version than the preview version).

Anyway, It looks like the input plugins handle the meta tags.  The Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder (in_mp3.dll) handles reading/writing of tags for MP3 files and such. When I view a file's info I see a ID3v1 and ID3v2 tabs.

So, you might make sure that plugin is enabled and if you configure it all the options are checked.

That's all I can think of for now.
