I was also under the impression you wanted it to be set to a fixed bit depth for the output which from other feedback seemingly is working so I'm not going to prioritise doing more on the as-is mode & tbqh I'm fed up of trying to change that plug-in as it's just not fun to work on.

For now, everything looks good, but the bit depth setting to "AS IS" only stays until we play a FLAC track, then it changes to 24bit, and even if we play an MP3 later, it changes to 16bit. I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be. I look at the behavior of the sampling frequency setting, set to "AS IS" it remains as such all the time.

« Last post by dro on December 05, 2025, 03:27:16 PM »It won't work under WACUP because the plug-in isn't DEP/NX-bit compatible but WACUP is built with the flag to indicate it is which causes the OS LoadLibrary call to fail on such dlls. That matches to the failed to load status reported for it as part of the Visualisation plug-in prefs page. Additionally the plug-in when it is able to be loaded also appears to be somewhat unstable (it hung WACUP & 2.95).

« Last post by dro on December 05, 2025, 01:42:36 PM »The changes I've just finished doing to out_neo & have now put up as another post-release update for it should allow the bitdepth to be specifically set or left in an as-is mode hopefully without breaking anything else though there's a possibility it might require having to do a bit of re-configuration to get things to follow what's wanted.

You likely just need to either run wacup.exe /REPAIR (this can reset a number of aspects including all skin positions) or if it's only classic/2.x skins that are affected wacup.exe /RESETCLASSICSKINPOS from a command-line prompt from within the WACUP program folder.

« Last post by VilViran on December 02, 2025, 06:09:47 PM »Hiya, since a couple days ago, when I open winamp, my music will resume like normal, but the windows don't appear anywhere on any screen. The preview when I hover over Wacup on my taskbar shows nothing except controls. When I go into preferences, the skin previews just fine. Here's the weirdest part: when I minimize the non-functional window, the preview then shows the skin properly. Anyone know what could be going on? I'm on Win10, Wacup version 1.99.15.19320
RESOLVED: A recent windows update fucked with my desktop, rearranging and stacking files and folders. apparently, it moved the location I last left Wacup running down beyond a corner, with a pixel sticking out. I was able to drag my windows back out and everything's okay now. auto arrange was already off, so I'm unsure why it all happened.
