Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #22022 (June 29th 2025) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #22022 (June 29th 2025) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

File Explorer context menu?
« on: May 27, 2025, 05:02:40 PM »
Hello everyone and thanks for creating WACUP!
One of the main things I miss from Winamp is the File Explorer context menu, namely being able to right click on a file or folder and "play in Winamp" or "Add to playlist in Winamp", do you think this would be implemented in WACUP?

Per the notes in the installer it's something that'll eventually be implemented but not so whilst it's still provided as a preview build plus I've not even looked into the implications of having to make a shell extension which is seemingly required to get around problems with the basic registry approach vs the size of selection & or if it's being done from folder menus or on file selectons. You can always try to manually associate things to open with wacup or use tools like those provided by nirsoft to setup up such actions using the basic registry approach along with using the options on the 'General' preference page to adjust the default command-line related behaviour if that's of use with it.
