Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

General Discussion / Is Winamp required?
« on: September 21, 2019, 12:19:48 AM »
I had been happily using several iterations of Windows 10 and old Winamp 5.666 Lite with iterations of DFx and Fx Sound Enhancer. After an update to Windows 10 v1903, the sound from winamp became muted, unless I disabled Fx Sound Enhancer. I stumbled across a Winamp forum post recommending WACUP as a general remedy for Windows 10 incompatibilities, and installed it. Everything returned to normal. Curiously, I downloaded the latest version Winamp for Windows 10, only to discover the sound was still muted. I totally deleted Winamp. The WACUP player works fine. Is winamp installation required, if so why?
