Skins / Re: Big Bento Modern Beta
« on: September 27, 2017, 03:23:57 PM »
The best would be if waveform seeker looks like in AIMP (http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1506521149/AIMP.png) - in progress bar.

Victhor,
Two issues:
1. Is it possible to change the following behavior of the skin:
- When I click Next or Previous button the "Next Track" or "Previous Track" is displayed on Song Title area -> http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1506521406/Next_Previous.png
It is displayed about 3 seconds... in this time I don't see the song title (ATF string) - it is not good... if i click Next/Next I want to see a song title... instead I have to wait 3 seconds to see a title...
Maybe this info (Next Track) could be displayed on other field? or <1s?
Ps: yes, I can see this info in "File Info" area... but File Info area can be hidden - SongTicker is always visible.

2. In mopst time I use Winamp with your skin docked to the top of my screen (hidden). When I move mouse it shows up (Windows Settings/Docked Toolbar/Top+AutoHide)
Sometimes, when the window is showing the part of skin is "not refreshed". See the image: http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1506522072/InterfaceUpdateneeded.png
The window need to be updated...

It should be like this: http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1506522101/OK.png

3. Last image shows next problem: http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1506522158/OK.png
"KBPS" is cutted... 44KH -> shouldn't it be 44.1 KHz?

Ps: The problem with fonts and Polish characters is solved (I replaced the font by another one that shows beautiful Polish characters).

Victhor,
What font do you use and how do you render it?
I have problems with Polish chars... in most cases it looks bad (but at least polish chars are displayed!)
Is there any way to improve it? Now, Polish chars are bigger/thicker... (ć, ó and ł looks OK, but ś ż ź ą ę ń looks bad).
[To see ć -> press ALT+C, ś -> ALT+ s, etc... in Polish keyboard (Polish Programmer)]

Take a look: http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1506433129/dddu.png

if you don't update in that two weeks, then the version you are using is disabled.

Very bad idea!

I'm full of bad ideas. It's my trademark.

I think you are not. You have got plenty of great ideas, don't you?
And one (disabling WACUP without user approve) not so good :)

Now it is better. Sometimes it is just very slow (I didn't notice such situations when it was on previous server).

I use Win10 x64 (Fully updated).
http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1485011720/System_Information_Report_21.01.2017_16.08.03.html

I use Opera Browser 42.0.2393.137 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 OPR/42.0.2393.137)

Ps: One more issue... let's say I am reading posts in some thread... then I decide to post something... when I post it I am redirected to forum root (why not to the thread I have just posted?).

Off topic...
DrO, you fixed my first post because of bad formatting. I didn't choose any different font size or color - it just added without me... also, maybe only for me, but forum works very slow.

Very bad idea!
New version is not always the best option for user. There may be resons that user stick with specified version.
So, never, never decide for user!

Maybe you just could built-in some mechanism that check if WACUP is updated or not - if not - user can not sent error feedback - instead he will be asked for installation new version.

DrO,

In my opinion there should be some updater application for WACUP.
Updater should by default check for update on each run of Winamp. There must be option to disable update check. There should be some options that allows to set how often should Updater check for new versions (every run, every day, on each 10 days etc)
For sure - user should decide. WACUP with expiration builds is a very bad idea (for beta is OK)

[edit - dro]
fixed some odd formatting in the message

Wishlist / Feature Requests / Re: A Replacement for Gracenotes

In my opinion it is necessary that Winamp still play/rip Audio CDs. It is must have (however, it seems that soon no one will have DVD drive - at least I don't have, just using external Samsung drive).
Using Windows DAE is a very good idea.

About burning support. For me this is unnecessary feature (to be honest, every CD I burned was just for testing in Winamp translation :P). So, it is not a big problem for me. Just remove it!

The most important extra feature of the program for me was auto-taging feature and cover art auto download feature... That was great!
If you implement it and it will work as good as it was in old AOL builds I will be more than happy :)
