Thank you for those who've quickly helped (much sooner than I'd expected) to confirm that things are generally working ok after the migration (you rock!).

Due to the time that I've had to spend and still have to spend migrating the remaining content, etc I'm now expecting the next WACUP beta to be out during the week commencing 9th January 2017 (I had hoped to have done a release before the end of 2016 but that was obviously not meant to have been).

So I'll take the time now to thank everyone who has helped me out with things (images to site setup to plug-in source code to just encouraging me to get back into Winamp plug-ins) during 2016 and to wish everyone a happy new year (as I think most of us need to see the back of 2016).

Thank you! There's still a number of things that need to be done but most of what has to be done is now complete (is scary how many references to the old domain were in all of the data, heh).

Implemented Requests / Re: Suggestion: Preferences Adjustment/Moving

Alas it's too much to try to do most of that with the means I've got to me (as a number of the options don't work in the manner that allowed for the original request to be partially done so far). For certain things I think something can be done but in general it's just simpler to not spend a lot of time messing around with thing that most don't generally care about :)

The main idea was to re-organise things into more appropriate groupings along with making things searchable and pinning common pages to the top of the preferences so you didn't need to scroll down the tree to get to some of the pages.

As for what could be removed, that's a tricky one as there has to have been a reason for it to be added in the first place (often due to not liking a default behaviour) but then is it that the default is wrong or just the feature not as properly thought out as it could be :)

Likewise for everyone having enjoyed as best as possible the last few days and however many days are left that they celebrate the festive period.

I remember proposing a complete overhaul of the preferences back in 2007 but like with everything, it had its costs vs benefits and just didn't gain any traction (despite it having been helpful for those that interact heavily with the preferences). As that page was sort of meant to act as a single place for such things but in retrospect it's obviously become more confusing than helpful.

I agree It makes sense to try to move those options, I just haven't looked into doing it yet. As I'd need to check what values are being read / written and what the two plug-ins (gen_ml & ml_disc) does in response to those options being changed. For downloads it wasn't too hard as there's an api message sent when it's changed and I could see what config setting was being used (via the settings cache page).

Though looking at things, I'm not sure if I'd then also be worth trying to (with time & some patience) consolidate the then 4 remaining tree options settings onto the 'appearance' page and remove the need for the 'tree options' page at all. But that all depends on how it's been implemented as to whether or not my general way for moving such things around can work or not..

Well I'm not going to get to sleep now just alone from the image, heh

Anyhoo, wishing you a good festive season :)

I'm not sure that'd make sense tbh as a cue file by it's specification can only relate to a specific file and not a batch of files as per a playlist.

If it was from a pre-converted output from the origin playlist to a single file then in that respect it could make sense to also output a cue file with it (as long as it didn't breach the cue file specifications on duration and all that fun).

I've now moved the 'download items' aspect into my replacement podcasts plug-in (which in the next build will be a merged version of the podcasts and downloads plug-ins that I replaced but had been planning on merging into just one when the incentive was there to do it).

Wishlist / Feature Requests / Re: ASIO plugin compatibility.
« on: December 22, 2016, 04:10:45 PM »
If the plug-in works with 5.666 then there should be no reason for it not to work with WACUP. As WACUP is primarily made up of other plug-ins that are targeted to work with 5.666 so unless they've broken something then other plug-ins not part of WACUP should work fine.

I know what you mean as I've also been thinking about it myself (going back to when I fixed the ordering on the page to make it look better if ml_disc wasn't present). Now that there's more vertical space in the preferences window by default, not interacting with the gen_ml options page at least with the podcast replacement plug-in would be the better option for me to get done :)

Implemented Requests / Re: Play Tracking Suggestion
« on: December 20, 2016, 11:35:20 PM »
Yeah, I need to pull my finger out and get it implemented ;)  When you say about knowing the state, I could either do it as an ATF field or can just go for specific configuration values to use for the distinct events (play, pause, unpause, stop).

Implemented Requests / Re: Tracker module support
« on: December 15, 2016, 03:29:04 PM »
It's just a library (same for XMP) which decodes the files it supports into a format that Winamp can then play. The main thing is that it is a better implementation than what the native in_mod uses (since it's not been updated in years).

Internally it's quite interesting to try to see how it generates the actual audio often from just "play this" type commands (depending on the format).
