NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Skins / Re: Big Bento Modern - final release v1.14
« on: October 22, 2019, 04:58:26 PM »
From original script (songinfo.maki):

string getBitrate ()
{
   string sit = strlower(getSongInfoText());
   if (sit != "")
   {
      string rtn;
      int searchresult;
      for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++) {
         rtn = getToken(sit, " ", i);
         searchResult = strsearch(rtn, "kbps");
         if (searchResult>0) return StrMid(rtn, 0, searchResult);
      }
      return "";
   }
   else
   {
      return "";
   }
}

Sounds like a really complicated method since there is getPlayItemMetaDataString(bitrate) or getMetaDataString(String filename, bitrate), but I'm sure there's a reason for it..

Actually is just a place holder with a large number for when the music is stopped, for some reason Winamp doesn't handle to the skin engine the bitrate of the current song unless it's being played.
I thought about using something like "xxxx" but looked weird, the same with repeated numbers (1111, 2222). So I settled on 3200 and 40 something for Frequency.

What's particularly special about it?

Does it skin all the components of WACUP?

That's a typical question for a classic skin, this is a modern one so it means the job is well done XD

Because I used the same promo pics for all my posts, but the skin detects and changes accordingly if it runs under Winamp or WACUP.

Main post updated to include v1.1.4, which was shipped with WACUP some weeks ago (though I had it ready some months before).

Ooofsss.. I'm so behind on replying here.. sorry, let's catch up:

was asked by the community for a better time font, since i had one installed on my pc i was asked to share it by the developer
so i have attached the font for all..

Thanks Rob!

@zag2me: Adding that officially would go against the spirit of the skin heh (extended functionality, fewer distracting elements), but soon I'll publish a way for users to get customization on my skins.

@Dime Notifications size is aimed to high-res screens, size is obviously arguable I guess, but you're the first pointing such thing, so I should point you to the last part of what I said to zag2me, customization is on its way ;)

The main thing that stops me using classic skins is the lack of access to the crossfade.
I usually have to swap skin to enable/disable or change the value then swap the skin again.

Oh! This is definitely going into the full version, I also miss to control that with every skin that doesn't have it, can't understand how it never made it to the classics, at least on the right click menu!

BTW. This is my current skin for the past week 8)

Awesome! I take it as a personal achievement =).

I assume this will be added to the WACUP installs ;)

Let's not press DrO on this, I was very lucky I got the support to include BBM! XD

The first is real-time resize enabled (cPro2 Aluminum), the second one is disabled / not implemented (WCM).

PS: On the second GIF there's a series of dotted lines that aren't visible, that's the cue to show how far the window will be resized.

Like cPro has, it's really just a cosmetic thing..

By the way, this is a short list of features I think the full version should contain:

. Notification system
. Better Albumart Right-click menu ("Search for cover", "Search lyrics", etc)
. Menu bar on main player (like Big Bento)
. Search in Playlist editor
. Merged mode? (an idea of mine)
. Secret feature on PL (including embeded album art)
. Real-time resize
. 2 modes timer (mm:ss / hh:mm:ss)
. Multi-button bolt
. Color themes window
. Real doublesize
..what else? Any request?

Skins / Winamp Classic Modern by Victhor

This skin is aimed to those who love the simplicity of the classic  skin but need to jump to a more high-res-friendly or modern design.

 All  features I could replicate from the classic skin are here, even the loading speed, to a certain degree. More than this would have feel bloated and unnecessary, so I left it for another version, a full / more complete one that will be launched later (hopefully this year).

 So, these are the cool features you'll get if you decide to abandon classic skin and adopt this sweet little skin:
  Sharp graphics on a scale similar to classic doublesize
  71 Color themes
  3 modes repeat
  3 modes songticker
  Enlarge ALL windows horizontally to achieve the perfect layout
  Dock every window to screen edges
  AlbumArt window
  ..and all the things you already love from the good old classic!

...
Update v1.03 (30/07/2019):
. Added Gordon Freeman's color themes
. Added "Stop after current" signal on ctrl+v
. Fixed cursor on EQ "+12db" / "0" / "-12db" buttons
. Fixed wasabi.list.background.alternate color gammagroup
. Fixed ctrl+w bug on Playlist
. Improved timer font (edited minus sign)
. Enabled inactive state for Main shade mode to better match classic skin behaviour
. Put some order on EQ resizers

The skins is really nice, but is there is a way to make time and artist/song font smaller (white and the orange in attachment)?
thanks in advance!

Glad you like it! Winamp has some options precisely for this;
- Go to Preferences > Modern skin > Font rendering tab and play with the items as seen on the screenshot attached.

NOTE: If you want to use the same skin font, go to the skin's folder / fonts and install the Oxygen ones before doing all the above.
