Hi 5 years
It's so long
But i'm still here too
I'm listening music with Wacup now. I don't use anymore winamp. I still have it on my PC in case of. wma is not well handle by Wacup. Now you can listen WMA. but it the only thing.
I don't use the Wacup plugin because I use the last.fm scrobbler 2.1.37. I think is the legacy.

Hi
I saw recentlty in build 16518 in media library.
The "edit meta data for selection" (ctrl+E) write the comment in DESCRIPTION and COMMENT fields in the same time.
But when I edit metadata for one song only ("view file info" ALT+3) WACUP save only COMMENT.
Is it possible to have the same behaviour for the both features ?

I dig up a old post about ogg tag.
I understand the last post. but i searched more info about

WACUP doesn't totally respect OGG tag specification when writing tags.
The OGG tag uses the tag DESCRIPTION for comment
WACUP read the tag DESCRIPTION and put it in the COMMENT tag.
WACUP display in list, the DESCRIPTION tag. In database the value saved is the DESCRIPTION tag
WACUP display COMMENT tag in field Comment of tag editor (taglib) and save it in the tag COMMENT.

The solution is to save the field comment to the tag DESCRIPTION in the tag editor. No more in the COMMENT tag. WACUP read already the TAG DESCRIPTION. Now it should write also in the same tag.

I didn't need to update SSL about last.fm scrobbler
Perhaps the plugin folders are confusing.
1 download the scrobble app from last.fm https://www.last.fm/download/windows
2 install it. Fill your last.fm account.
3 you can run manualy the winamp installation plugin with menu file/ Install plug in / winamp. Or run it at c:\Program Files (x86)\Last.fm\plugins\WinampPluginSetup_2.1.0.11.exe
4 give the wacup folder while installation.
5 check that the file C:\Program Files (x86)\WACUP\Plugins\ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll is present
6 Check this previous file isn't in %AppData%\WACUP\Plugins
7 check as here    https://getwacup.com/community/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=883.0;attach=1863 that  you see the plug-in  in winamp preference. ctrp^p to access to preference.
8 active the plugin in Wacup with the check-box as the print screen.

With WACUP Preview v1.0.13.5864

Amazing bug not nothing really happened .
Here is the files displayed sometimes when I edit tag. No changes are made to my song only fake information are displayed. They disappear after a refresh.

With WACUP Preview v1.0.13.5864
Here is a  amazing bug  but I'm not blocked

1 I play a play-list The song played is an OGG file.
2 I delete the play-list but does stop the song played.
I add a new ( or the same play-list) by drag and drop.
I rate all song in one shot by ctrl^a and right-click.
The first song of play-list is displaying in notification but I hear no changes
The song played take the first place of play-list.
The sounds does'nt stop.

Preview Build Discussion / Wacup go to next song when i rate MP4 file

When i rate video or music MP4 file, after have clicked on OK button, WACUP go the  next file in the playlist. WACUP doesn't wait for the end of file.
With MP3, OGG etc I have not this behaviour.
Strange.
The input plug-in is MP4 Demuxer v1.4.9 from jul 23 2020 from Dro

When i run WinampPluginSetup_2.1.0.11.exe, the installer ask the winamp or wacup folder installation. see print screen.
Then i could be useless to use the command line /DIR if the user run manually this file.
If I well remenber Last-fm installer run this file automatically  but i'm not sure.

I think undersstand how the both plug-in was enabled.
I didn't know the possibility to restore the library from another location. I should have used this feature.
Then after Wacup installation i copyed
AppData\Roaming\Winamp\Plugins\ml to AppData\Roaming\WACUP\Plugins\ml and also gen_ml.ini.
this is certainly the cause of the malfunction.

I have 6 .AC3 files

I tried to use the input plug-in for winamp
https://sourceforge.net/projects/winampac3/

Winamp accept the plugin but not Wacup. Wacup crash

I uninstalled this plug-in manualy in_vac3.dll and wacup works correctly. Fine for me

I doesn't need something. Only to explain that currenlty Wacup doesn't works with old plug-in (2003) for AC3 file.

The solution has to switch from legacy library plugin to new wacup library plugin. See print screen
But i lost all my library. Happily i saved my library regulary
I kept the smart view.

I swittch from legacy to new plugin as print screen
Now i can add new song to my library.
BUT il lost all my library.
18000 song. ARGH

Hi I'm using WACUP from today.
Wacup crash when i rate songs.
Only rating from library is working. From what's playing, or play list Wacup crash.
I try when song is playing and paused.
I activated some plugin present in prebuild, inactivate by default. Perhaps that's the reason.
It's the same with MP3 or OGG

I'm not so disapointed because i will regain the possibility to rate again from play list and what's playing.

I'll see if using this plug-in is better.
