Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #14638 (February 23rd 2023) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #7236 (March 11th 2021) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

General Discussion / Re: scrobbler info

If what you're referring to is under the 'Playback' preferences node then that is not related to the various scrobbler plug-ins & was meant to get me to make a replacement sooner but that hasn't happened. However I may as an interim solution add something onto that preference page so it's easier to get a known copy of the scrobbler plug-in installed without having to deal with the hard-coded paths that the plug-in installers assume.

If you mean something else then I need more information or a screenshot for where you're looking.

No at the first i copied ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll from winamp to wacup plugin folder. The media library plugin page showed the plug-in scroobled but with a message. This message was about a reference issue. I though about a missing file.
I didn't see the item scrobbler in playback node from preference page.

Before you can make a new standalone plug-in in wacup. In the item you're talking about  you can put a link to this page or directly to the last-fm scrobbler that works with winamp or wacup

General Discussion / I cannot send song to library
« on: November 23, 2020, 05:35:50 PM »
I cannot send song to my library.
I use jul 23 2020 version
I use right click / send to library to import song to library. I don't scan folder automaticaly. and i don't set a folder to indicate the location of my song.
I tried also send to local library but nothing happend.
I tryed to set a location in library preference but nothing happend.
I can't see the new song in the library.
However I can send a song to a playlist.

Songs are well imported when i set a location and let wacup scan folder. But it's not my way.

Do you have a solution for this. please.

General Discussion / Re: Edit tag WMA song

Hi Dro
I managed with the comments field since a long time. I will continue as i did to save ratting.
Sure when saving the rate in files will be present i will use it

I prefered to have a way to update tag in wma. Even i cannot have this feature i will keep using winamp or Wacup. WMA is not my prefered format but i still have many songs with WMA to rate or update.

For the moment i will edit with winamp instead of wacup or external editor.

Hi Aminifu

I know hpw to see rating in winamp library but i'm waiting for a data directly in the file. But for the moment this feature doesn't work. Perhaps for some input plugin.

Hi Aminifu
i didn't know this features
I tryed but i don't know to use it.
I rated a song. The last modified time of file was uptaded. Then i guessed the rating is now somewhere in the file.
How can i see the rate writed in the file?
It's a ogg file then i saw nothing in the tag with wacup neither in a tag editer in one tab in the print screen here under

SureI have another program to edit tag. but Wacup is useful to correct tag when listening.
Winamp Tag managing is not working well for cover but for taging song by song it's enough.
I rate all songs and i'm fed up to lost my rating then i add my rate in the comment field. It's easy to use tag edit directly in wacup.
I tried to use in_wv.dll  from winamp instead wacup but doesn't work. OK

Wishlist / Feature Requests / output plugin in use
« on: November 22, 2020, 11:22:42 PM »
It's difficult to know what output plugin is in use.
For me there is only one output plugin at the same time. It's not possible to use several output plugin at the same time.
A wish to have some to know which output plugin is in use now.
Perhaps a different font or color, grease on font ...

Resolved Issues / BUG when rating
« on: November 22, 2020, 06:03:06 PM »
Hi I'm using WACUP from today.
Wacup crash when i rate songs.
Only rating from library is working. From what's playing, or play list Wacup crash.
I try when song is playing and paused.
I activated some plugin present in prebuild, inactivate by default. Perhaps that's the reason.
It's the same with MP3 or OGG

I have the same issue. How to scrobble to
The solution i found is to use the installer from desktop application
I ran the file C:\Program Files (x86)\\plugins\WinampPluginSetup_2.1.0.11.exe This file come from the last fm application desktop folder.
The plugin has been installed in Wacup because i change the path in the installer.
After winamp doesn't scrobble anymore but Wacup it does.

First I copied the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\plugins\ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Wacup\plugins. But in the preference i can see a pb of reference. Some files (dll ?) were missing.

General Discussion / Edit tag WMA song

I'm new thanks to dro to solve my installatio problem

I'm testing the public version and i cannot edit tag from WMA file.

With winamp 5.66 I can edit tag directly by double-click in the song title played.See printscreen
With wacup V1.0.13.5864 july 23 2020, I cannot edit tag from wma files by double-click neither by alt+3 from the library or the playlist. See printscreen
Wacup show the DirectShow file info

With MP3 or OGG WACUP it’s working as the same as Winamp
