Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Aaahh it was one of the first changes I made for the latest build (more than a year ago?), so I can't remember the exact reason behind it. It's probably due to how changing color themes on WACUP kept breaking scrollbars (goes black), so I made 'modern' scrollbars look more like 'non skinned' ones (which uses the same gfx as ML buttons and v5.666 PL scrollbar button), so switching between one and the other wouldn't look so different.
Yeah it's like falling on another issue fixing an issue... they do look harder to see I guess, but in my setup it was acceptable enough (though that may not be the case for every monitor / condition). If you have the previous version around, you can try swapping the new scrollbars.png with the old one (it's on 'SKINPATH/Window' folder).

I see, I've cycled between all of them, nice to know you're still working on it though 💪

By the way, some time ago I collected most of those scripts on a zip, available on my Winamp skinning resources thread: https://getwacup.com/community/index.php?topic=307.0
(see 'Complete collection of scripts (gathered all around the internet)').

I didn't gather all there were, maybe that could do a good addition / zip (some have a first version and an improved one, which is the useful one IMO).

Are you going to replicate all the scripts from that thread?

Okay so now I'm using 5.666 Build 3516 Dec 12 2013 and it seems to be going okay. Thanks.

However I have another question. Is it possible to detach the Playlist and Media Library Viewers from the Player interface?

Ariszlo is right, no chance here for detachable components, it's a nightmare of a code as it is, let alone allowing some windows to pop out of the SUI.. simply impossible.

A skin that has SUI and windowed components is Kameleon by Leechbite, you should check it out (though, I must warn you, it's not the more stable of his skins..)

So, switch to v5.666 or WACUP, I didn't intentionally broke support for 5.8 but that's an unsupported beta, these kind of errors are to be expected..

mmm.. it's not a typical skin error, seems related to the Visual C++ install (that's DrO's field). Do the traditional / old Bento skins work fine?

List of skins that I used: Big Bento, Big Bento Modern, Winamp Modern, AS_Fx21_EVO, WMP11 BlueVU,  Anaheim Player 01.

I would be glad to receive your comments about scripts.

Great! I'll take a deeper look later and check if there's any unnecessary code or leftover to make the scripts tidier / more direct (modding can get quite messy in time, I know).

First of all...

Well done!! I liked the skin, a lot! Some new bits here and there, I know a lot of skins and can tell what is from where, but I liked how you took the elements from other skins and use / transform it with a specific intention, that denotes good taste and hard work.
There are some bits to improved here and there, but they are mostly small stuff. The only one thing I see that needs to be fix is that you didn't include the source scripts, it's good practise to share it along the release files (even mandatory in the case of the scripts of my skins). Are you planning on sharing it at some point?

Really looking forward to the next build (I bet more color themes are on the plate, right?). Keep up the hard work!!

PS: Extra points for not asking even a single question about the scripts / files / etc.. where did you get the skinning expertise?? This is your first skin?

Wow! Looks nice! I've almost forgotten how it felt to find a new skin out of the blue.. I'm getting anxious now, why the time frame?? XD

I set myself a deadline)))

OK, sounds fair, but if you don't make it, don't worry, just release it under a beta tag and we'll see from there.. ;)
