Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

This Volume Logic 1.4 plugin (dll from Plantronics) works just fine in WinAmp but can't get it to work in WACUP.
Can you please support this plugin.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volume_Logic
I can deliver you this plugin upon request for testing

I'd need a copy of the plug-in, preferably a full installer in case it's also installing other files as some plug-ins did which prevents just copying the plug-in file over. I'm not aware of anything obvious that would prevent it from working under WACUP as other DSP seem to be ok unless it's doing some sort of specific check, etc.

If you click "Configure" (plugin) WACUP crashes.
I have sent you a private message with a link to Plantronics Volume Logic 1.4 for WinAmp plugin.

I've just had a look & the volumelogic plug-in is trying to load the other output plug-ins & it's not doing what the WACUP output plug-ins are wanting which then causes the crash.

I'll see what I can do for now though there is going to be a time where such scenarios of plug-ins trying to load other plug-ins is going to break when I eventually look at modifying the output plug-in specification.

Hi XPloRR

I was also using Volumelogic at one point but switched to Compwide:

https://winampheritage.com/plugin/compwide/104516

If you're looking to normalize volume levels, give it a try. works great here.

Hope this helps,

cheers,

This plugin works, but when the configuration page is open (Plugins own Configuration window) WACUP main window stops responding to any mouse click. and all key presses are also ignored. but WACUP keeps playing the song. Keyboard multimedia keys work indicating WACUP is running properly except accepting any mouse or keyboard event directly.

It's all due to plug-ins trying to load other plug-ins & not sending the required calls needed. I've still got to get around to making the respective changes so the WACUP plug-ins won't fail if called directly (I hate plug-ins at times, heh).

I use the free version of Stereo Tool (https://www.stereotool.com/download/). It does take some time to learn how to configure it because it has a lot of options. It comes with several presets. I particularly like the high and low band filters. This feature lets me block the frequencies my speakers can't reproduce which prevents distortion.

This DSP lets you tailor and bring out all the sound in your source files, even at low volume levels. I highly recommend it.

I thought the free version of stereo tool made a beep sound regularly to annoy you into buying it.
I will have to try it again if that "feature" is gone

The free version includes some advanced features that are not free. You can use them to try them out, but you will get a regular beep sound until they are paid for. These advanced features are not needed unless you are providing an internet radio program or are using really poor (i.e. very low quality) source files.

Thx, it also sounds ok, but it hasn't got the "drive" option of Volume-Logic which emulates the warmth of tube-amps by adding harmonics that stay in phase.

Are you using the latest WACUP beta? I used to have problems with it but it's now owrking properly and I don't experience the issues you are describing.

Nice find, actually 1by1 is from the same developper as Compwide (Martin Pesch) , just an updated version, will give it a try.

Glad to see it's still maintained, it does a great job.

From release notes:

"CHANGES

2020-06-04 v2.0
Name changed from "Compressor & Wider" to "1by1's Enhancers"
Enhancer 2 (Multiband) engine updated from latest 1by1 version
"

Thx @Aminifu, "Stereo Tool" also sounds great, but indeed has more options, and the load on the cpu/gpu can be high.
