Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Exporting my playlists
« on: October 10, 2024, 09:59:25 PM »
I'm reinstalling Windows and I'd like to export my playlists from WACUP so I can import them when I install WACUP in the new Windows installation. Maybe this is a stupid question, but I want to be sure - If I got library -> export -> playlist lists, that will export not only the list of individual playlists, but all the items in each individual list with their corresponding filepaths, right?

Nope. It doesn't do that & only generates a list / details of the library playlists depending on the mode selected. Exporting the actual playlists is something I've still to implement.

Either try to use preferences -> general -> backup | restore (though it might not catch a number of WACUP specific changes nowadays)

or (the more likely safer option)

if you're going to be using the same folder locations post OS re-install then you can just archive the whole WACUP settings folder (typically %appdata%\wacup but preferences -> advanced -> diagnostics -> settings locations will show what your path is) & copy that back into the same location once you've done the initial WACUP reinstall.

Copying the settings folder in the new Windows installation will make it so that the items of the individual playlists will also show up? (assuming the filepaths are the same)

Not knowing if you've used the wacup managed or self-managed playlist copies (as that can have an impact due to potential use of relative file paths in the actual playlist files), typically if everything they refer to is in d:\music then on the new OS install the media they refer to needs to be in d:\music again & the settings would need to go back into %appdata%\wacup if taken from there on the prior install (where possible the wacup settings are used with relative locations in mind but there's still a lot of things especially the local library that use fixed paths which is why its simpler to just have everything be in the same place where possible).
