WACUP prevents Windows screen saver from activating
« on: June 27, 2025, 07:48:56 AM »
I did a powercfg /requests test and WACUP.exe came up in the Display test. Can this be disabled in the settings? see attached image below

edit: WACUP.exe needs to be closed for it to disappear. But that's not practical when you have music playing all day

Go to Preferences -> Playback -> Playback tab -> System Keep-Alive -> un-check it & I know that it annoys some but it helps deal with other setups where playback will stop if its linked to monitor speakers (which I can't easily detect via OS apis afaict otherwise I'd try to be smarter with it). If WACUP wasn't playing or is paused then that option being on shouldn't be preventing things per the note in the prefs.

nice, thanks dro! It's a very useful feature, not annoying at all, it's awesome that we can modify it!
