Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #15538 (May 27th 2023) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #7236 (March 11th 2021) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

The last part of my prior reply is probably the better option to ensure you get the install separation needed.
This is the part you refer to ...

Otherwise make a portable install using the installer & that'll give you the equivalent & you can run as many portable installs as you want to.
... correct?

I want to use the 2nd instance for some very lengthy media (a/v lectures, tutorials, seminars, etc.) that need to be paused at end-of-day pc power off and have the paused locations restored at the next pc power-up.

You can run multiple beta instances like you can do with the preview build (would be a bit silly to restrict that in betas but not preview builds ;) ).
OK - well, when I tried to invoke a new instance nothing happened. I then reasoned that perhaps there is a box or something in the options dialogue that needs to be checked. In Main Menu > Options > Preferences > General > I saw a unchecked box labeled "Allow multiple instances (this can cause data corruption)", checked it and closed the dialogue. The attached image of a popup appeared. I was in no mood for taking this 'leap' and cliked "No".

If there is another way, I am all ears. Maybe doing a separate beta install in another directory (is this what the popup suggestion refers to and is it safe?)? I will defer to your advice.

It has been awhile but when I need 2 media players to run at once, in addition to WACUP, I will fire up my original Winamp5.666 install. I have stopped using WACUP's preview build because there are too many fixes to it in the beta version and I exclusively use the beta. I know not if it can run more than one beta instance. Anyways, as I said, I fired up the 5.666 and the attached image popped up.

Just curious and I did dismiss it.

With all the mp4 discussion of late and not having played videos via this player since this topic was discussed, thought I would give it a go today with today's beta release. The issue looks to be resolved now. Thank you!

Sorry if obvious, but does WACUP have a built-in stereo and/or surround sound simulator to enhance mono sources? Or maybe a plugin I not aware of? -thx

Big Clock has had Alt+B added for it & Waveform Seeker has had Alt+R added for it in the pending next beta build. Will mark this as implemented.

here I go again getting all twisted. The screen capture above was from a topic regarding a rare anomaly with non-stream type playback. Since the seeker does not support streaming, I should make clear that this topic is for the seeker to support it and perhaps the 'moving' fill can somehow get hooked to the elapsed time graphically. I know not if the current seeker can easily be enhanced and if not perhaps a new one created?
(I have updated the op with a, hopefully, more appropriate title)

Because the thread was closed ('Resolved') I supplied a screen capture of a portion relative to this. I agree with Aminifu in that I too desire a 'fill'.
-thx

ok - so the lack of clarity and mention of Waveform Seeker/Big Clock looks to have veered the op off-course. Steering it back to the 'intent' of the op ...

I would like to be able to define a key or key-combo (my keyboard has a section of user-programmable keys fwiw) that when pressed activates 2 or more windows. e.g. I press a key/key-combo and Album Art and Media Library open. I press another key and they close. As I have used these 2 as examples I would desire this for any of the standard-issue WACUP windows. I have done something similar to this request. I have a key that invokes a shortcut which points to a batch file that contains code that turns on the internet as well a several internet-dependent Rainmeter skins simultaneously and another key/shortcut/batch that turns them off. Therefore, I believe my need would be for a command line that accomplishes the activation/deactivation of both (or more) of these WACUP windows.

(man, another wordy post that I pray is clear)

off topic : from my long-time association here it seems that modern skins 'appear' responsible for more 'pain' than 'fun'. My mind plays with the question would this product be damn-near finished (if not actually finished altogether) if it was strictly 'classic'?
