actually, after posting the first message, i decided to check recent changelog to figure out what's going on.
while reading through, i noticed a change in $cut function.
and since i am removing a part of the string of known length from the end - $cut now fits in perfectly.

It seems to be happening only when using a modern skin that's preventing the keyboard navigation from working even though it's meant to be flagging things in a manner to do it (e.g. tabbing between the controls isn't working though switching to a classic skin is then behaving). Will add it to the list of things I need to fix before the next build goes up.

wacup currently has no means to use the old winamp icon packs so there's no means to change what's being used from within it.

Maybe I'm dumb, but how can I change icon packs for EXPLORER? I've installed it, but I can't seem to find an option to change icons.

Attach the image please as I cannot see anything from imgur (am geoblocked since September 2025) also you need to confirm what version & build type of wacup you're using along with the OS being used.

Hi all! I'm experiencing something similar but without the crash - when I use Jump to File (J) and select a track with keyboard up/down arrows, pressing Enter doesn't play the selected track (I also tried Shift+Enter and Ctrl+Enter but no dice). Is this a known issue? Thanks

Changed more of the internal ATF handling to avoid working out the length of strings when it's already been determined for a small performance improvement especially when doing 1000's of ATF calls

That's the reason for it not behaving correctly with build 25130 which was not intentional & will require a new build to resolve it.

I might also see about adding an extra parameter or a case insensitive version of $replace as it caught me out initially that the string I was testing with didn't match exactly.

Have added an optional fourth parameter to what'll be part of the next build which is set to 1 (e.g. $replace(%title%,String,,1)) will treat string & String as the same. If not set or not what's expected then it'll keep doing it all as case-sensitive comparisons.

For some albums (or possibly only some songs), when I set the rating for any song (even if not the one being played), the song being played will skip.  This also happens when a song finishes and the playlist advances to the next song.  Sometimes it is just a few seconds, other times it skips to the middle of the song.

I can't be certain that it is restricted to certain file types, but I've noticed it for M4A files (AAC) and I don't recall it happening to FLAC files.  Most of my M4A files were ripped using various versions of WinAmp.

I made a video (unlisted) showing when this happens for rating changes: https://youtu.be/ROJCVDkimzo  OBS couldn't capture the right-click menu, but you can see the file rating change in the video and can both hear and see (in the progress bar) the skip.

I am a SDET, and would be happy to run WACUP in Visual Studio with a custom breakpoint to get a call stack.
