Yeah, I meant the song timer.

It's awesome so far, the fading animation are probably the most impressive thing thus far, surprising us more what the Modern Skin engine is capable of doing!

The only personal nitpick that I have is the timer's display being anything but consistent, you can read more about it here to get a better understanding, the script in that thread isn't updated anymore so the latest version (pertaining to Winamp Modern that is) can be found in either the newest beta build or here

Sounds more like a 3rd party program meddling with things, are you sure you don't have anything installed that would cause such effect?

First, lay off the caps lock for a bit as it comes across as if you were shouting, second, it might be helpful to also have an english translation attached to your post.

With the https issue, it comes down to the mp3 plugin WACUP still uses, which is from Winamp 5.666 and it generally can't handle https links at all (WACUP will still try to play it by redirecting it to http)

Until that is solved, it will take some time, as the mp3 plugin is one of the core aspects of Winamp

General Discussion / Re: Lyrics and Album Art plugins

There is no way to get WACUP specific plugins to work under a plain Winamp install.
What's preventing you from switching to WACUP?

There are Album Art and a lyrics plugin already included in WACUP, if that's what you mean

Please, I'm always appreciative of feedback (as that's the one thing I rely on and so far you're one of the few who's done so).

I honestly can't tell you when the full release will come, as it might take longer after I'm done with my apprenticeship, but we'll see

Thank you for your detailed feedback, I love reading stuff like that!

I've on and off been thinking of adding an auto hide feature as well as adding a button to disable the sideview entirely, should one not like it.

I don't know when I'll get around to do it (life is taking ahold of me and I've shifted focus on a different project for now), but I can guarantee that it'll find itself in v1.4

Try this, I've no idea if it works or not.
I doubt it's really "mandatory" for WACUP to support format x, sure it's a nice to have thing and all, but keep in mind that WACUP is being developed by one guy and secondly that WACUP still retains Winamp's plugin architecture, meaning you can add plugins to your own liking, if you can find them that is.

Did you by chance untick Video support from the installer?

The PE_Info box is what got screwed up once the window itself becomes wider, it shifts a few pixels to the right instead of staying to the left, like the thinner/smaller state

If you do a 1:1 comparison of just the Main Window between this and 5.666's Winamp Modern, you'll begin to dislike how some of the UI parts were slapped on, and how left aligned the title bar text is.

If you can see what's wrong here and check it out yourself, you'll never unsee it.
But luckily for all of us, I fixed this too, something they could've done over the years...

Skins / Winamp Modern Updated for WACUP
« on: May 05, 2021, 08:25:31 AM »
Inspired in part by Ariszló's thread of old skins updated for WACUP, I wanted to show off a work in progress of updating Winamp Modern:

This is the latest I've done, fixing the bitrate display to not decrease the width of it's surrounding box when it happens to be below 100kbps.

There are also a slew of other things, namely the newer and improved timer which now flashes the timer instead of displaying dashes, there's also the realignment of UI elements which looked too off when taking a deeper look at the main window and other tiny stuff that no one else would really see... well, except for me.

The git repository can be found here:

Maybe this'll find itself in a new WACUP build, but I can't say for certain. :)

CTRL + D or the D in the small clutterbar, next to the small visualizer area of the main window

It intentional as double size doesn't modify your settings in regards to font size for the playlist editor and media library, if it were to do that, it'd have some weird effects in a Modern Skin
