Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #19100 (May 10th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #19100 (May 10th 2024) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

General Discussion / I just want to say thank you.
« on: March 25, 2024, 02:53:50 AM »
It's been more than a few years since I posted here and I just wanted to thank everyone involved for keeping this project alive. My biggest thank you goes out to the devs but I also want to thank all my fellow volunteers and testers for pitching in. I know we're all extremely lucky to still have a program that would have otherwise ceased to exist in a workable, secure form a long time ago. I hope everyone reading this is doing alright and that this project continues to bring us all a lot of enjoyment for many years to come.

You all rock...and are the real ones whipping the llama's ass.

A friend of mine shared a pic of himself at work and when I clicked on it WACUP popped back up from its minimized state. So far it does it every time I click on something he sends me. It's the only time it does it. I'm using the latest non-Beta build with Windows 10 and the latest version of Telegram.

Yeah. I'm a noob at the plugin stuff as I've never really used custom plugins much. Most of the time when playing or converting stuff the default player worked fine. It does seem like it sparkled a really good idea though. :D

I'm not the only one who feels the way I do. Just spotted this thread over in the WinAmp reddit sub. https://old.reddit.com/r/winamp/comments/dd03m4/wacup_for_those_who_love_winamp_while_waiting_for/

This is my list of plugins:
Chun-Yu's MP3 Writer plug-in v3.0
Ignorant Output v1.0.1
Not So ASIO v1.1
Not So YASAPI v1.1.3
Nullsoft DirectSound Output v2.65
Nullsoft Disk Writer v2.18
Nullsoft WaveOut Output v2.17

If I remember right I installed Chun-Yu's plugin because I was having difficulty copying an old CD to my PC. It was a long time ago though so I can't remember exactly.

EDIT: OK I disabled that plugin and it works now. Thanks for getting me to look at my plugins.

I've been using Winamp since first going online via PC back in August of 2001. It was a huge part of my everyday life and despite newer options coming along I just couldn't get rid of it. It makes me happy knowing there are people out there who love it as much as I do who have the knowhow to continue working on it. I very much appreciate the developer's efforts and will do my best to contribute in order to support it as soon as I can. Again-thank you for all the hard work. It's very much appreciated.

Been getting this when trying to play some MP3's I bought off of Bandcamp. The tracks play fine when played via VLC but when played via WACUP it gives me that error and speeds through the tracks without playing any sound. I've never seen this happen. I was using the last release before the Oct. 3'rd version but it does the same with that one, too.
