Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #19100 (May 10th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #19100 (May 10th 2024) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Preview Build Discussion / Playback Question

Main Menu > Play > Folder

I select a folder, clik OK - folder loads and 1st track begins to play. Forget where I set it so it does not begin to play (until I decide to clik the player's 'play' button). Desire same with play a file. -thx

General Discussion / Re: Windows 11 screen doesn't turn off.

Using either of the DSP plug-ins shouldn't make a difference to the behaviour about staying awake or not as it's the playback state which determines things & not the DSP which is just part of the input -> output chain going on.

Preferences -> Playback -> Playback tab -> uncheck "Use system keep-alive (default: on)"

That's enabled by default as there's numerous setups where the device / monitor needs to be kept on for the audio to be heard (e.g. due to integrated speakers) but in your instance it's not going to be helpful hence the option.

It works, screen turned off and everything still sounds. Thank you very much,it was very annoying to keep screen on at nighttime. P.S. I want to be honest -dro was right - it doesn't work and WACUP stream DSP switch off if screen turns off BUT!  I installed Shoutcast DSP plugin and it works!!! So happy anyway, thanks for your efforts!

General Discussion / Re: Unable to automatically send Crash Reports via Email
« Last post by dro on April 02, 2024, 10:28:39 AM »
Preferences -> Advanced -> Error Reporting -> uncheck "Send crash report via email using default email program (if available)" then that'll avoid it using what's basically a fallback mode as WACUP will also auto-submit the crash report (as long as it can be generated) to the server. The error shown appears to be from the OS itself & there's at least 2 different ways the OS recognises what's the default email client & iirc the api that I use doesn't seem to see it for some which is why it's simpler to un-check the option noted).

re: your crash, if you go to preferences -> plug-ins -> output -> in the drop down change from Not So Direct to Not So Yasapi & that should avoid the issue the Not So Direct plug-in is having with some setups like yours due to how it's trying to manage the output device.

General Discussion / Windows 11 screen doesn't turn off.
« Last post by gulbis37 on April 02, 2024, 09:42:14 AM »
WACUP 1.9.20.17040 .   DSP/ Effect v 2.5.2 .  I  broadcast my internet radio and usually I put in laptop option that screen turn off after 1. minute . It happened when I used Winamp but it doesn't happen when WACUP in use. Could it be DSP plugin issue which keeps screen awake, please? Thanks.

General Discussion / Unable to automatically send Crash Reports via Email
« Last post by kate.pet on April 02, 2024, 04:32:31 AM »
Whenever WACUP crashes (usually when skipping a track with Media Keys after not being focused for a while), it fails to send the crash report via Email even though I have a default email client set (Thunderbird).

This is a screenshot of the error message that is shown

And I do have Thunderbird set as my Default Email Client in Settings.
