Latest WACUP public preview for x86 & x64 is build #20202 (September 28th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)
Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #20686 (December 23rd 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

WACUP Home automation integration - Homeseer
« on: March 14, 2021, 11:20:46 PM »
For anyone interested in home automation:

I integrated WACUP to my HA platform ( Homeseer ) so I can control it via my wall mounted tablets (along with lighting/appliances control and other HA features)

Have a look at the demo below and feel free to share questions, suggestions or comments.
Thanks to DrO for helping out and Jon00 for the HS plugin;

There are still some hurdles to a perfect integration, especially with the Media Library polling ( would love to get rid of the Ajaxamp/Ampwifi dependancy) but I'm hopeful a revamped API is somewhere in DrO's already quite long todo list =)

I like what you've done With Home seer. Unfortunately, at $150 it's out of my price range. I'm just trying to run WACUP with my android phone. Do you know of any other plugins and android apps other then Ajaxamp/Ampwifi? I'm asking because I see your a beta tester and it's been over 3 years since you posted this, and I have been having trouble getting AmpWifi to work with the current WACUP Build 1.99.20.19994.
On a side note I was really impressed that you chose 'The Art Of Noise' as part of your demo!!!!

Thanks for the feedback  :)

I have since moved to Home Assistant (Open source - Free) and built a similar interface with the ability to control via my wall tablets or cell phone.

I am still using Ajaxamp/Ampwifi along with WACUP + some automations to publish WACUP data over MQTT.

It has been running smoothly for a few months now.

Not the simplest integration but the only solution I found so far.

Cheers,

I'm really interested in learning more about this. What kind of programming language do I need to know? And where would I go about getting started and doing this sort of thing? Is Home assist script based, or html? I started with apple dos basic. Then moved to Amiga script editing and multi-tasking later I got into HTML.. I ran a Bulletin Board System out of my home before the Internet got big. I'm thinking it might be something I can do.  :)
