Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #18654 (March 24th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #17040 (September 30th 2023) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

BUG when rating
« on: November 22, 2020, 06:03:06 PM »
Hi I'm using WACUP from today.
Wacup crash when i rate songs.
Only rating from library is working. From what's playing, or play list Wacup crash.
I try when song is playing and paused.
I activated some plugin present in prebuild, inactivate by default. Perhaps that's the reason.
It's the same with MP3 or OGG

A number of the plug-ins aren't enabled by default as they slow loading down or aren't commonly used.

What action are you using to trigger a rating change as i'm aware of some issues with the preview & recent beta builds that can cause issues - some of it is due to changes I've made which should be fixes & some of it is down to the input plug-ins (mostly in_mp3) which doesn't want to play nicely.

The solution has to switch from legacy library plugin to new wacup library plugin. See print screen
But i lost all my library. Happily i saved my library regulary
I kept the smart view.

The existing library database has not been lost - please see my reply related to ml_local & ml_ll both being enabled.

At least we now know what was causing most of the issues you've had though how you managed to enable both plug-ins is confusing.

I think undersstand how the both plug-in was enabled.
I didn't know the possibility to restore the library from another location. I should have used this feature.
Then after Wacup installation i copyed
AppData\Roaming\Winamp\Plugins\ml to AppData\Roaming\WACUP\Plugins\ml and also gen_ml.ini.
this is certainly the cause of the malfunction.

Yes, what you did is not supported (in the way you did it). Even though both apps may look the same (due to the UI skin used) and many features work the same way, these are independent apps. Exchanging their configuration data and/or digital media databases can cause unpredictable results. Even some Winamp plug-ins may not work with WACUP without being updated. Given time, dro is willing to try to update some of these incompatible plug-ins when possible.
