It should still work, youtube-dl may take a bit to kick in, what's the URL you're trying to play and did you verify it working in a browser?

You do need to have the MP4 plugin and the streaming support enabled (don't know what it's properly called off the top of my head)

Thank you for your answer

I guess I'm missing something...

The url is this one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPULePc3EO0

I guess the mp4 plugin you are referring is this one
https://pasteboard.co/i4QPb64qQkte.jpg

But I don't see any youtube-dl, I even downloaded from the github repository and added to the root of the application and inside the plugins, but I guess this is not the correct way of do it

Preferences -> Advanced -> Supporting Utility / Tool Updates section -> use that & if needed use the delete option before making it try to re-download ytdl.

However ytdl is to an extent broken (can effectively require the whole video to be downloaded now but at a really really slow rate before my side of things can even play the file) & the alternative ytdlp that the betas use required some other changes to get things working so it's not necessarily a direct swapping of one file for another to get things working ok again. Also the exe goes into the WACUP settings folder but it's best to use the prefs action noted above to manage things since that knows where it's expecting things to go.

It's possible that it's timing out on what you're trying to play due to the problems that ytdl itself has. Also under prefs -> plug-ins -> input, there should an an enabled 'in_url.dll' named 'streaming url processor'. Without that being present & enabled then the other aspects aren't going to be used. The only other thing is what you're trying to play might not be supported as live streams aren't currently handled & some geo-blocked urls will also fail to connect. An example of an url you're trying to play that doesn't work would be useful.

Thank you for your precious help, yes it was a live stream so I guess that is the problem.

Here it is the url
