NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

Winamp3 Default Skin: The way it was meant to be
« on: July 07, 2022, 02:18:18 AM »

The Winamp3 skin we all know and love, and I personally hate... sort of, it all really comes down to the time display being inconsistent in the screenshot and what you actually get to see, so I fixed that! And I added the play LED from DeClassified in here as well, I just like it too much.

The skin is based on Plague's work on fixing it and making it more functional for Winamp 5, so it has all the goodies.

Enjoy.

Hi,

Did you move the 1st and 3rd skins listed in your signature? Github says the pages can't be found.

The related projects have been restored, hope you did check out my edit of the Winamp3 skin!

Thank you for fixing the links. I have taken a look at what you've done with Winamp3. Please forgive me. It has been so long since I used the original, I'm having a hard time seeing what you changed/added. Everything fits together well and nothing is unexpected.

The Main Window really is the attraction here, the screenshot in this post is that of the unmodified Winamp3 skin.
What's different in my edit is the improved song timer and the addition of the play LED next to the playback symbol.

Ok, thank you for pointing out what I wasn't noticing with my old eyes. :)

The double digits for minutes is a good change. Some of the songs I play are longer than 9:59 minutes. The symbol between the minutes and seconds looks more like an equal sign than a colon. I was able to edit it in the Refugee-Declassified skin, but don't see a way to do so here. I have scaled the main window to 125% and still had overlooked the LEDs to the left of the playback symbol. The bottom one is dimmer than the one on top and easy to miss, imo.

I first thought you were talking about the timing info at the bottom of the PE. Then I realized it must be something else, since WACUP has options to control the format for the total playlist playback time.

Hi Eris,

I've been looking at Winamp3 for other things I missed and found an issue with the Control Menu (accessed with the button on the top left corner of the standalone windows). Dro has not been able to find a reason for it with a similar response in another skin. It is probably due to bugs in gen_ff.dll.

The Control Menu provides the same 3 controls that are provided by the Window Settings in the main right-click menu. The scaling setting shown in the Control Menu is sometimes wrong. The setting shown for 1 window is sometimes not updated when shown for another window. The scaling setting shown is always correct for each window, when using the Window Settings in the main right-click menu.

This is the only issue I've found so far.
