My bad as I wasn't looking at the top(-right) part of the screen when replying & was looking at what's shown in threads like this where the username part is clickable. I'm not going to try to hack on the forum theme as my prior attempts have usually ended up breaking things. There should instead be a 'profile' option in the top bar or within the menu action part of the forum depending on how you're accessing things (i.e. desktop / laptop vs mobile & the screen size) & that should then go to the correct view with the link I'd initially mentioned.
