WACUP crashes randomly on closing with (GUCCHIS gen_gslyrics.dll plugin)

Hi admin . WACUP Works well if i disable the third party win amp general plugin Gucchis lyrics displayer / karaoke (gen_gslyrics.dll) ,plugin when enabled works well except it crashes WACUP ON closing.Plugin still works fully well with Wiamp all versions (this behaviour only seen wiyth WACUP). SEE attachment for Gucchis general plugin dll.

PLZ try to  fix the problem ,i will be gratefull to you.

I was wondering if I might hear from you as you've generated a lot of crash reports with this plug-in.

There's something going on in the plug-in which is causing it to sit waiting to close after it's been told that wacup is closing which is then causing it to hang / crash. From a quick first attempt it looks like I can hook the plug-in & get it to not wait which afaict seems like it might work though I don't know if that then breaks anything else with the plug-in.

It also seems that the plug-in messes up the position of the items it adds into the main right-click menu so I'll have to try to patch that too.

There's now changes in place for the next build (no eta) which seems to allow this plug-in to be better behaved against what I saw.

Thanks for your reply ,this plugin (gen_gslrics.dll) works well with Winamp 5.666 version ,without crashing but on right click and select options , Displayer on Gucchis Lyrics will additionally open Library window of Winamp (This behaviour is seen in native Winamp 5.666 too) ,every other function works well except occasional crash of WACUP on closing. GUCCHIS lyrics plugin was originally written in Japanese and at present English patch version is available with me.


 can you make GUCCHIS plugin to support UNICODE lyrics as it only supports ANSI Txt .

I wasn't sure if I'd been seeing that happen or not. It's most likely sending a conflicting message that the media library also uses to trigger the display / switching of it.

It's using what's meant to be part of a reserved menu id range related to media library view selection handling. I should be able to workaround it without causing anything else to break.

That would require source code for the plug-in to be able to modify it. The native wacup lyrics plug-in should be able to display things or is that not the case or is there some other reason (I'd guess maybe synchronised lyrics display) preventing from using that ?
