Mainly leaving this as a reminder for myself to add support to WACUP to use the Win8 & newer toast notification system as a way to have 'modern' toasts for now playing changes (any possibly other things) which will work irrespective of the skin being used for those who like those sorts of things
From looking at the docs, it's a bit convoluted to do it as part of a classic windows program but it can be done (probably something for my sunday night r&d session over the next few weeks).
