Latest restricted WACUP beta release is build #18980 (April 24th 2024) (x86 & x64 changelogs) | Latest WACUP public preview is build #18980 (April 24th 2024) (x86 only)

NOTE: Beta testers are added in a limited & subjective manner as I can only support so many people as part of the beta test program to keep it useful for my needs.

Unless I think you're going to be helpful, not all requests will be accepted but might still be later on. Remember that beta testing is to help me & the limitations currently works for my needs for this project.

DSP plugins not working with latest stable build
« on: July 25, 2023, 10:56:19 AM »
I have tried various plugins including Rocksteady.  When I enable, it prompts me to restart Wacup- then just auto disables again.

See attachment

On another note, I've only just found this place.  I was using latest official Winamp 5.9 - and it kept freezing.

If you've installed WACUP as a portable install then you'll need to go to Preferences -> Advanced -> Portable Mode -> check the option to allow 3rd party plug-ins & allow it to restart which should then allow those DSP plug-ins to be used. Because so many 3rd party Winamp plug-ins never followed nor got updated to follow the common settings file location apis (e.g. storing in the registry), WACUP's portable mode won't allow those to be used unless opting in as I can't guarantee that the portable install is then truely portable.

Cheers :)

Also thanks for continuing what made Winamp great.  I know all too well what a labour of love is about.  Mine is modding FF7.
