This Windows 10 edition is FIRE! :fire: :fire: :fire:
Blow the reggae horn!
I didn't know what improvements you were going to make but this skin is AMAZING!
So many options. I feel like I fell in love all over again.
All the options! All the Color themes! All the modern look and feel!
I swear my music sounds better just by looking at it!
Wow, this is amazing! Well done Victhor!
Victhor,
Thank you for your work. Thank you for your passion. Thank you for this amazing skin!
I've already said that, but you can repeat it forever. The skin is just great. Plenty of options, features, amazing graphics, every pixel means something :)
Polish translation works very nice (tested with Winamp). I hope, DrO will work even harder (is this even possible?) to add translation system to WACUP (then translators can start his work to prepare language pack for WACUP - I really hope someone from community will take on this hard task... For sure I will try).
Ps: At times like this, I think to myself I have not wasted my time on supporting Winamp...
I've been playing with all of the settings (so many settings!!!)
However, under the settings appearance menu, there is a choice for "Enable Button to show hidden tabs"
I cannot see what that button does or what it changes. What am I missing?
Problem solved. I use the Windows 10 edition. There are some lines in the playlistpro.xml still saying "...file="@SKINSPATH@\Big Bento Modern\...", which doesn't exist anymore.
This also caused an error message on Winamp startup and the disappearence of the search bar after I deleted the old folder.
Renamed the path entries and it works just fine now ;)

This enables a button to avoid the need to manually resize the player to reach bottom tabs. See the gif
Exactly
@synthetiq: futuristic nostalgia maybe? XD
probably the last one for a while
probably the last one for a while
I hope that is not true.
Winamp its comin again and Its real awesome!
Thank you! :D
Put your mouse over the bar that is circled and drag it over to the right and the bars that you are looking for will appear.
see screenshot.
Hopefully in a not so faraway future DrO can figure out an option for WACUP to internally use another browser engine =)Are we sure we want to open that can of worms? I know there are some alternate embeddable browser engines but we start getting into a rabbit hole by trying to use them.

And for those of you using the skin, I'd like to know how you're doing with it now that a month has passed. Is it working fine? Does it have all the features you need? Did someone jumped from Big Bento to Modern? (is there anything you miss then?) Is the size good enough, or a bit more would be better?
I just found this skin tonight (randomly checked out DrO's Twitter account and noticed it there) and I'm loving it! It feels very clean...
I'm curious, is it possible to adjust the font size in the Media Library/Playlist sections? The current size is perfectly functional and fits lots of information in. Sometimes it would just be nice to bump it up a size so it's a little more comfortable to read.
If I come across any issues or think of any suggestions after using it for awhile, I'll be sure to let you know.
Aside: Seeing as how this is my first post here, I'd just like to give a big thank you to both you, Victhor, for the skin, and DrO for working on WACUP. I remember my brother and sister both using Winamp almost 20 years ago and when I started doing more on computers, Winamp was what I turned to. For the last 15+ years, it's given me everything I've needed for playing and managing my music. Even with trying other media players, nothing works as well or feels as right as Winamp, and it's great to see people keeping it alive. So thank you both (and anyone else doing the same) for that.
Now I'll stop trying to derail the thread :P
Awesome, and thanks for the donation too! I take it like a personal achievement to move people out of the old classic skin XD (joke aside, I like it because it means Winamp can have a whole new meaning for people like you, getting a new way of interact with a player that most people see as already dead -but that can have another "life" this way-).Winamp better continue getting new lives! (where's the 1-Up emoji when I need it?) I can't imagine having to move away at this point. So many thousands of hours of music played... I've even made some small custom programs to make things work just how I want (custom controls, songticker, volumeticker, etc.). I'm sure that's kind of the standard for people on these forums, but it's great knowing there are still people keeping it alive.
Totally, that's in Winamp's preferences. See the screenshot for a quick reference (where font is grossly oversized just to show the effect), or try an even faster way by using hotkeys: Ctrl. AND Numpad "+" to increase size font or Numpad "-" to decrease. Thanks! Just 1px up makes it much more comfortable. And here I was thinking that would be a theme setting. Silly me. Guess it's been too long since I did a proper pass through the settings. I must have been to that page before since the font is set to my usual favourite, but I don't remember it at all.
Derail and talk as much as you want, we're happy to see new people here. Specially if they have good taste in media player and skins! =)I'm not a frequent poster on forums, but I'm sure I'll be back here to try and derail the odd thread of people with similarly good taste.
OpalMonkey: I think victhor has said it all but a thank you again for the kind words & support you've shown both of us as its always very much appreciated.Aside: Seeing as how this is my first post here, I'd just like to give a big thank you to both you, Victhor, for the skin, and DrO for working on WACUP. You know you are doing something when you get DrO excited!
..I had read somewhere it might be a little heavy.
Sorry for wrongfully pointing fingers, I've updated some mobo drivers and all is smooth now. Went from around 20% constant cpu to about 2%.
Talking about background cover reminds me that I had to show you that problem if the cover is not a perfect square (on the screenshot)
hope it will be the new standard skin :D
Heh, originally the skin was aiming for something like that, along the way it became so much more that now I'm not so sure if most people will like it..
.. how do I change the Multi-function Button back to opening the media library? None of the options seem to do it and clicking on one that's already checked just stays checked. Where's the setting stored?
Big Bento Modern / Big Bento Modern Windows 10 Edition (1.02)
Winamp opens external browser and built-in browser at the same time..
..and drag the menu option to divider on left or song time display..
Thanks for posting / replying, I get it now. It's a strange thing to do with the mouse (IMHO dragging onto another option of the same menu is more likely), but it's probably fixed on my working build since I changed a bit how those options work, and can't replicate it, no matter what I do.
If anyone can replicate it please report!
I usually don't mess with skins, but this skin is pretty nice!
Is there an non-big version? I like to keep as much screen estate as possible focussed on browsing the library and playlist windows so a smaller player window would be cool too.
This skin is really incredible, and has helped me convert from that dreaded iTunes. Since I'm so new to this, I've had a lot of learning experiences along the way. It's incredibly customizing friendly, and I'm having issues with one thing- is there a way to show Title listings in the audio view? Having the breakdown of Band-Album is dope, but breaking it down further to Track listing would be incredible. Might be asking too much here, but don't know until you ask!
Thanks again for making this. It's truly incredible.
Hi, not from the skin's options, but a modded script would achieve the effect. How much you want it? Is it acceptable to have it as a total closure on click but still have the arrow to open it? Or you want it permanently hidden?
Are you suuuure?Yes I ammmmm! ;)
But still the same issues.
I don't like to suggest this so often, but deleting studio.xnf should fix itSorry, I havn't read all of your posts. So I have not known this. 0:-)

Do I have to delete this file every time I install a new WACUP with a new BBM version?Nope, only when A SKIN setting gets stuck. Modern skins save their preferences (window position, hidden components, etc) in that file, and sometimes it gets too "dirty". When deleting it, Winamp creates a new one (on closing) with fresh skin settings (your old settings get lost).
... I've found out that the minus is only missng if I play a track longer than one hour!..
Hmm, the classic skin vis options shouldn't be having any effect on modern skin settings...I was surprised myself ...
-dro
If I click on the visualization I can just toggle between Spectrum Analyzer modes _OR_ Oscilloscope modes.
Activating or deactivating Classic Visualizaion in the right-click context menu dosn't seem to change anything (or I'm too stupid blind ;) ).
OK. But I can't sense any difference with the Visualization bug (no switching between osci / spectrum) with the clean install either.
The missing minus will be fixed for the next build of my skin. Its also going to need a WACUP update to help get the hh:mm:ss case working correctly. As there's a bug in gen_ff where only if the number of hours in the longer format is zero that you see a minus symbol (it counts down correctly but will miss the minus off what's output & isn't something the skin can fix afaik).
Its also going to need a WACUP update to help get the hh:mm:ss case working correctly.
Kinda wish was a modernized winamp skin system that just use html/css much like electron based apps.. would be great and cross platform, would be a huge boost to a newer skinning system for winamp.. the current xml based one is just so messy and the lack of being able to inspect elements and just do css styling is so much more easier. There's nothing to stop someone making just that but the issue is more in whether you are then going to have people actually using it. Cross-platform isn't all that helpful unless the base player is able to support it or it's taken on by other players as a more standard skinning solution (which imho is probably not going to happen with the current state of play).
Thanks for the heads up, I'm glad to see my skin is being used in Hindi too (and more or less making the cut heh). I'll see what I can do about it since that part of the skin (File info's text lines) is one of the trickiest. Hopefully I'll be able to increase the line height without moving the actual text position too much.
Had a quick look online, it seems that your laptops has 32GB of eMMC storage. It has 1 SODIMM slot that takes up to 4GB DDR3L.
I would strongly recommend upgrading the RAM to the 4GB.
You could also look into ways of disabling unnecessary Windows features. You can look here for some tips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVy4GAtkh7Q
The issue as other have mentioned is that Windows will be swapping memory to disk, which will hurt performance. It doesn't have sufficient memory to store the OS as well as the applications you might want to run such as WACUP or a web browser.
Why don't you change the setting so that the WHOLE title bar becomes the button and you can doubleclick on the title bar to make it collapse?
The skins is really nice, but is there is a way to make time and artist/song font smaller (white and the orange in attachment)?
thanks in advance!
was asked by the community for a better time font, since i had one installed on my pc i was asked to share it by the developer
so i have attached the font for all..
First of all, thanks for the skin, its awesome!
I am really new to all of this and i noticed something weird...
When i try to show the notification with the global hotkey, it only works if the song has an album cover. When i disable album cover in general, it still only works on those songs with a cover. On song change it always shows the notification, regardless of the album cover. How can i fix this? ._.
Did you double checked that Waveform seeker is installed? (see in plugins - General purpose). This plugin is a WACUP exclusive feature (due to many reasons), you have to enable it when installing WACUP, I mention this in case you're trying to use the separate, older, plugin which is lying around somewhere the net.Ok, now I feel retarded, thank you so much. Just right click, wafeform seeker and thats it, just as easy as that. Six installs and unistalls could be avoided with a simple right click, a simple right click...
..is it possible to have Left and Right dedicated response in the integrated spectrum analyzer?, the mirrored one looks way better than the original but it kinda lost a point when songs with hard LR panning and beats gets reacted as mono.
Of course you do. But I meant having the Lch react and Rch react at the same time, like in the mirrored visualization, not just a channel. The same, but different, but same.I've tested in both WACUP and Winamp 3 (including the first Beta) the feature to display both channels respectively, sadly, it never worked.
Oh, muchas gracias Victor por haberme nombrado por mi aporte de encontrar aquel pequeño error en las barras deslizables, en que la primera decía "Bajos" (lo cual está ok), pero la otra decía "Graves" y debería decir "Agudos".
Saludos!
The PL closing is by design, when a PL button doesn't fit, it closes.
The other thing shouldn't be happening if it's a simple click, are you sure you're not dragging a bit when clicking? The skin is specially set up to be easily moved from "empty" places..
I have noticed that when I click from another active window into the WACUP window while it is maximized, it suddenly gets unmaximized. ...
mmm.. it's not a typical skin error, seems related to the Visual C++ install (that's DrO's field). Do the traditional / old Bento skins work fine?
Are you using Winamp 5.8 by any chance?
5.8 Build 3660 Oct 19 2018
Okay so now I'm using 5.666 Build 3516 Dec 12 2013 and it seems to be going okay. Thanks.
However I have another question. Is it possible to detach the Playlist and Media Library Viewers from the Player interface?
Wow! That's saying a lot! Thanks!how to do it? New = Album art can be enabled on Playlist Tab now.
Could you share fileinfo.m and sc_aerosnap.m for Big Bento Modern v1.2.3, please? The 4 modified .m files have now been attached as a zip on the first post.
