Read the entirety of this thread first!!!

Version 1.1 has been released just recently, however, people never really bothered to scroll down to the thread and really read through it (reminds me of how people were mindlessly clicking next on the Winamp installer), thus if you are using a older version of Winamp 2000 SP4, you will not receive any support from me and you are on your own, so do me a favor and please upgrade to the latest version.

A Modern Skin aimed to emulate the Windows Classic feel before Microsoft got rid of the classic theme option entirely, and it is aimed at those who use Windows Classic on their machines, or just simply miss it.

What does this feature, besides carrying the features of WCM?

- Near accurate windows classic imitation
- Everything else that WCM has

There are a few things that are still wrong with this, do feel free to report anything that is wrong and I will try to fix it ASAP (or not, depending on the mood and the day)

If you want to follow the changelog and report issues (which is recommended), follow through this link, and drop any bugs you may find, however, feedback/suggestions here is highly appreciated

Latest version changelog:
v1.1
What's New?

The first major release of Winamp 2000 SP4 to drop the subversion numbering system to stay in sync with the features Winamp Classic Modern would offer with each 1.xx release, however, as per request of the creator of WCM (and the developer of WACUP himself) to drop that system, I've decided to jump straight to version 1.1 for this release. This is also the first release of WA2kSP4 to include its sister branches, namely the REVOCS Media Player branch (a nod to the anime series Kill La Kill, which originally started out as a testbed for new things to try out, ultimately it turned into its own thing of itself) and the A.P.E Media Player branch (a nod to the anime series Darling in the FranXX), under the hood they're the same thing but on the surface somewhat different.

This release of Winamp 2000 SP4 however may be the last for this year (unless something urgent needs fixing), as there isn't a lot that could be added or fixed, what may take priority however is the ability for this skin to support color themes as in its current state, most of the things existing were taken over from WCM and have not been touched in a long time now.

- New: Inclusion of 2 new flavors of this Modern Skin.
- New: Massive UI overhaul within the Main Player window.
- New: Made the songticker background be its seperate thing.
- New: Made the posbar backgronud be its seperate thing.
- New: Winamp Modern Beat Visualizer reimplemented thanks to @jberg.
- New: Added a Half-Life 2 like Heads Up Display featuring a crosshair visualizer and a subtitle box displaying the currently playing song.
- New (REVOCS Media Player): Added 2 new visualizers featuring the characters Ragyo Kiryuuin and Ryuuko Matoi, with Ragyo's hair lighting up to the beat, with Ryuuko herself bobbing her head to the beat.
- New: (A.P.E Media Player): Added a visualizer depicting Zero Two from Darling in the FranXX bobbing her head to the beat.
- New: About box to now resemble winver from Windows XP.
- New: Swapped out some static images (volume bar, balance bar, position bar background) with small resizable images using <grid/>.
- Fixed: A bug where if a wasabi window was too small in width, the left hand side edge would disappear.
- Fixed: Media Library component was 2 pixels too tall.

I've noticed that my skin was pinned (thank you dro :) ), this does give me some motivation to work on it again, but due to working again and having little to no energy to sit down and tear this apart again, I'm unable to properly provide updates and fixes to some issues that have cropped up/are on my todo list to fix.

Thanks to anyone so far who has downloaded this skin and enjoyed using it, that alone makes me happy. :)

Oh hey I'm glad I noticed this post. A skin from my favourite Windows. Does it skin all the components of WACUP?

Does it skin all the components of WACUP?

That's a typical question for a classic skin, this is a modern one so it means the job is well done XD

As though I am unable to edit my first post, this is gonna do.

The skin is now (actually a few weeks now) on Github, featuring the latest and greatest features that have been implemented over the time, the current project is to implement Windows Classic like color theming support, as for now, bug fixes and other adjustments have been made, as well as adding Winamp/WACUP detection, thanks to Victhor who helped me out on this one.

If anyone who would like to help me get this thing become better than it already is, download the master branch and go on a bug hunt (or if you live on the edge, you are free to use the development version as well) and report issues, or if you're someone who knows how to handle the Modern Skin engine far better than I do, feel free to help me implement the basis for color theming.

Well, it seems as though there's still some activity going on after what looked to be dead silence.

v1.03.5 has been released, which includes a slew of fixes and overall improvements to the UI as well as some consistency that was much needed through out the skin.

The new release can be downloaded here.

v1.03.6 has been released, it's a small release though, nothing big, I promise.

Version 1.03.7 has been released a long time ago, however, people never really bothered to scroll down to the thread and really read through it (reminds me of how people were mindlessly clicking next on the Winamp installer), thus if you are using a older version of Winamp 2000 SP4, you will not receive any support from me and you are on your own, so do me a favor and please upgrade to the latest version.

Version 1.1 has been released just now, I highly recommend getting this build as it features quite a lot from last time's release...

New Update is good, working fine.
except for one color, Item Selected in Playlist test is too dark. but i don't think we can do anything as it seems to be from Windows color/highlight handling
