Read the entirety of this thread first!!!

Version 1.03.7 has been released a long time ago, however, people never really bothered to scroll down to the thread and really read through it (reminds me of how people were mindlessly clicking next on the Winamp installer), thus if you are using a older version of Winamp 2000 SP4, you will not receive any support from me and you are on your own, so do me a favor and please upgrade to the latest version.

A Modern Skin aimed to emulate the Windows Classic feel before Microsoft got rid of the classic theme option entirely, and it is aimed at those who use Windows Classic on their machines, or just simply miss it.

What does this feature, besides carrying the features of WCM?

- Near accurate windows classic imitation
- Everything else that WCM has

There are a few things that are still wrong with this, do feel free to report anything that is wrong and I will try to fix it ASAP (or not, depending on the mood and the day)

If you want to follow the changelog and report issues (which is recommended), follow through this link, and drop any bugs you may find, however, feedback/suggestions here is highly appreciated

Latest version changelog:
v1.03.7

What's New?

New: Remade the bottom Playlist Editor area so it doesn't look all in one place (the buttons and total time display are still in one and there are no plans to seperate them in any way)
New: Changed how the Visualizer in the Playlist Editor looks so it more or less simulates the Sound Recorder from Windows XP
New: Remade the Video infobar so it almost looks like the Playlist Editor bottom area where things are seperated
New: Added a Mini Visualizer to the Video infobar for your enjoyment (also emulates the Sound Recorder's Oscilloscope display, clocks in at 5FPS)
New: Added the playstatus from the Main Window to the winshade mode of the Main Window
New: Changed the refresh rate of the Main Window visualizer, the collapsed mode and the playlist editor to 60FPS
Fixed: A long standing issue where the text of the Playlist Editor's winshademode was too big and green-ish, in which the current title is now displayed as the titlebar text
Fixed: A long standing issue where the resizers were too big for the windows themselves (also added a left and right horizontal resizer for the rest of the windows)
Fixed: A problem where the video info bar text would clip out of its box when the window was too small in width
Fixed: A crash involving the playlist editor's title handling (thanks to @dr0biwan for providing the fix!)
Misc: Slight remake of the playstatus in the Main Window

I've noticed that my skin was pinned (thank you dro :) ), this does give me some motivation to work on it again, but due to working again and having little to no energy to sit down and tear this apart again, I'm unable to properly provide updates and fixes to some issues that have cropped up/are on my todo list to fix.

Thanks to anyone so far who has downloaded this skin and enjoyed using it, that alone makes me happy. :)

Oh hey I'm glad I noticed this post. A skin from my favourite Windows. Does it skin all the components of WACUP?

Does it skin all the components of WACUP?

That's a typical question for a classic skin, this is a modern one so it means the job is well done XD

As though I am unable to edit my first post, this is gonna do.

The skin is now (actually a few weeks now) on Github, featuring the latest and greatest features that have been implemented over the time, the current project is to implement Windows Classic like color theming support, as for now, bug fixes and other adjustments have been made, as well as adding Winamp/WACUP detection, thanks to Victhor who helped me out on this one.

If anyone who would like to help me get this thing become better than it already is, download the master branch and go on a bug hunt (or if you live on the edge, you are free to use the development version as well) and report issues, or if you're someone who knows how to handle the Modern Skin engine far better than I do, feel free to help me implement the basis for color theming.

Well, it seems as though there's still some activity going on after what looked to be dead silence.

v1.03.5 has been released, which includes a slew of fixes and overall improvements to the UI as well as some consistency that was much needed through out the skin.

The new release can be downloaded here.

v1.03.6 has been released, it's a small release though, nothing big, I promise.
