Latest Blog Post (Last updated 23rd April 2019)
« on: January 20, 2018, 03:17:32 AM »
For those not keeping an eye on or even aware of the WACUP blog, I'm now going to be posting in this thread when a new blog post is made so it's a little bit more obvious there is one if you only ever look at the forum :)

This is especially useful as the blog posts often contain information about the status of when new beta builds are expected (and thus new beta testers getting access) and other useful information about WACUP development that is happening or is going to happen.

Nope as that's not at all what that blog post implied was the case i.e. not much has been done for the past 2 months!

If this appears then I hopefully didn't break the forum too much after updating the PHP version...

To make it work both locally and at my webhost using PHP 7.2, I had to install version 2.1 RC 2.  With 2.0.15 you can try using https://www.smfhacks.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=215 to make SMF 2.0.15 work with PHP 7.2 without generating a bunch of errors.  I got this working locally but couldn't get it to install at my webhost due to some customizations.

Anyway, just an FYI.

I found that last night after realising the error log was going to grow massively without doing anything else & got it installed without issue.

I'm looking at moving to SMF 2.1 anyway but that patch gives me a bit of wiggle room vs the position I was in with my current hosting the wanting to charge extra to keep using PHP 7.0 (the quick eol of PHP versions seems to be causing more of a mess than helping imho).
